| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat pendidikan dan tingkat religiusitas dengan tingkat kepercayaan masyarakat pada tradisi petung weton. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Pajerukan, Kecamatan Kalibagor, Kabupaten Banyumas, Jawa Tengah. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif jenis survei. Sasaran penelitian ini ialah masyarakat Desa Pajerukan yang sudah menikah. Jumlah populasinya yakni sebanyak 1.669 yang didasarkan pada jumlah rumah tangga yang ada di Desa Pajerukan. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 94 orang yang diambil dengan teknik simple random sampling. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan angket dan wawancara. Alat analisis utama yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu korelasi Tau Kendall’s. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel tingkat pendidikan dan tingkat religiusitas mempunyai hubungan dengan tingkat kepercayaan terhadap tradisi petung weton. Hasil perhitungan korelasi Tau Kendall’s menunjukkan keeratan hubungan antara variabel tingkat pendidikan dengan tingkat kepercayaan terhadap tradisi petung weton sebesar -0,318**. Artinya, keeratan hubungan antara kedua variabel tersebut rendah dengan arah hubungan negative (saling kontradiksi). Sedangkan keeratan hubungan variabel tingkat religiusitas dengan tingkat kepercayaan terhadap tradisi petung weton sebesar -0,268**. Artinya, keeratan hubungan antara kedua variabel tersebut juga rendah dengan arah hubungan negative (saling kontradiksi). Dari hasil penelitian tersebut maka hipotesis penelitian H1 dan H2 diterima sedangkan H01 dan H02 ditolak. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of education and the level of religiosity with the level of public trust in the Petung Weton tradition. This research was conducted in Pajerukan Village, Kalibagor District, Banyumas Regency, Central Java. The research was conducted using a quantitative method of survey type. The target of this research is the people of Pajerukan Village who are already married. The total population is 1,669 which is based on the number of households in Pajerukan Village. The sample in this study amounted to 94 people who were taken by simple random sampling technique. Data were collected by means of questionnaires and interviews. The main analysis tool used in this study is Tau Kendall's correlation. The results showed that the variable level of education and level of religiosity had a relationship with the level of trust in the weton petung tradition. The result of Tau Kendall's correlation calculation shows the closeness of the relationship between the variable level of education and the level of trust in the weton petung tradition of -0.318 **. That is, the closeness of the relationship between the two variables is low with a negative direction of relationship (mutual contradiction). While the closeness of the relationship between the level of religiosity variable and the level of trust in the weton petung tradition is -0.268 **. That is, the closeness of the relationship between the two variables is also low with a negative direction of relationship (mutual contradiction). From these results, the research hypotheses H1 and H2 are accepted, while H01 and H02 are rejected. |
