Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Cekaman kekeringan berdampak terhadap pertumbuhan vegetatif dan generatif tanaman padi. Kajian tentang ketahanan varietas padi terhadap cekaman kekeringan diperlukan dalam mempertahankan produksi padi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui: (1) keragaan laju akumulasi bahan kering biji (LABK), indeks panen, dan karakter agronomik sepuluh varietas padi pada kondisi cekaman kekeringan, (2) tingkat ketahanan sepuluh varietas padi pada cekaman kekeringan, (3) keeratan hubungan antara laju akumulasi bahan kering biji dengan hasil dan karakter lainnya sepuluh varietas padi pada cekaman kekeringan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di screen house Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jenderal Soedirman pada Maret-Agustus 2020.
Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Lingkungan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial dengan dua faktor yaitu cekaman kekeringan dan varietas yang diulang 3 kali. Variabel yang diamati antara lain LABK biji, indeks panen, jumlah anakan produktif, tinggi tanaman, panjang malai, jumlah gabah per malai, umur berbunga, umur panen, bobot gabah per rumpun, bobot 1000 biji, bobot gabah bernas, bobot kering tanaman, kandungan klorofil. Data dianalisis dengan uji F dan apabila berbeda nyata dilakukan dengan uji Duncan’t Multiple Range Test (DMRT) taraf 5%. Keeratan hubungan dianalisis menggunakan analisis korelasi.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan LABK biji, indeks panen, dan karakter agronomik sepuluh varietas padi mengalami perubahan keragaan pada kondisi cekaman kekeringan, akan tetapi kandungan klorofil tetap. Varietas IR 32 tahan pada kondisi cekaman kekeringan berdasarkan skor ketahanan terhadap kekeringan menurut Standard Evaluation System (SES). Karakter yang memiliki keeratan hubungan dengan LABK biji adalah bobot kering tanaman, jumlah anakan produktif, dan bobot gabah bernas, namun tidak memiliki keeratan hubungan dengan hasil.
Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)Drought stress has an impact on vegetative and generative growth of rice plants. Studies on the resistance of rice varieties to drought stress are needed in maintaining rice production. The objectives of this research were: (1) performance of seed dry matter accumulation rates (DMAR), harvest index, and agronomic characters of ten rice varieties under drought stress conditions, (2) resistance level of ten rice varieties to drought stress, (3) correlation between the rate of accumulation of seed dry matter with yield and other characteristics of ten rice varieties under drought stress. The research was conducted at the screen house of the Faculty of Agriculture, Jenderal Soedirman University in March-August 2020.
The study used a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with two factors, namely drought stress and variety which was repeated 3 times. The variables observed were seed dry matter accumulation rates, harvest index, number of productive tillers, plant height, panicle length, number of grains per panicle, flowering age, harvest age, grain weight per clump, weight of 1000 seeds, weight of filled grain, dry weight of plants, chlorophyll concentration. The data were analyzed by using the F test and if it was significantly different, it was carried out by the Duncan't Multiple Range Test (DMRT) level of 5%. The closeness of the relationship was analyzed using correlation analysis.
The results showed that the seed dry matter accumulation rate, harvest index, and agronomic characters of ten rice varieties experienced changes in performance under drought stress conditions, but chlorophyll contentration remained. IR 32 varieties were resistant to drought stress conditions based on drought resistance scores according to the Standard Evaluation System (SES). The characters that had correlation with seed DMAR were plant dry weight, number of productive tillers, and weight of filled grain, but did not have correlation with yield.
