Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Daerah penelitian secara administratif terletak di daerah Suban Jeriji, Muara Enim, Sumatera Selatan. Menurut sistem koordinat UTM terletak pada koordinat 373500 mE – 377000 mE dan 9581500 mN - 9585000 mN. Total luas daerah penelitian kurang lebih 14 km2. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi geologi secara umum meliputi stratigrafi dan struktur geologi, serta analisis stabilitas lereng pada model lereng XS-13. Pada aspek geologi, daerah penelitian memiliki beberapa stratigrafi diantaranya lapisan satuan batulempung Air Benakat berumur miosen tengah-akhir, Satuan Batulanau Lempungan Muara Enim berumur miosen akhir-pliosen dan Satuan Breksi Andesit berumur Kuarter sebagai satuan termuda. Permodelan stabilitas lereng dilakukan pada model geometri XS-13 yang menurut peta geologi termasuk kedalam satuan batulanau lempungan Muara Enim. Penampang XS-13 memiliki total panjang 1868,15 meter dan membentang pada arah barat daya – timur laut. Permodelan dan analisis stabilitas lereng bertujuan untuk memperoleh desain lereng yang direkomendasikan untuk desain tambang terbuka. Pada model lereng XS-13, terdapat 15 lapisan stratigrafi yang didalamnya mencakup 7 seam batubara. Dari permodelan lereng tunggal yang dilakukan untuk rekomendasi overall slope, didapatkan hasil yaitu tinggi 7 meter (rasio 1:2) untuk lapisan overburden A1, tinggi 4 meter (rasio 1:2) untuk interburden A1-A2, tinggi 12 meter (rasio 1-2) untuk lapisan interburden A2-B1, tinggi 15 meter (rasio 1-2) untuk lapisan interburden B1-B2, tinggi 15 meter (rasio 1-2) untuk lapisan interburden B2-C, tinggi 10 meter (rasio 1:2) untuk lapisan interburden C-D, interburden D-E dan underburden E. Permodelan lereng keseluruhan (overall slope) meliputi highwall dan low wall. Hasil permodelan yang dilakukan menunjukkan rekomendasi model highwall yaitu pada kode HW-10 dengan lebar bench 62 meter menghasilkan FK pada kondisi jenuh 1,252 dan FK kering 2,500. Sementara itu untuk permodelan low wall direkomendasikan pada kode LW-4 dengan bench width sebesar 30 meter dan memperoleh FK jenuh sebesar 1,251 dan FK kering sebesar 2,040.
Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)The research area located in Jeriji area, Muara Enim districts, South Sumatra province. According to the UTM coordinate system, it is located at 373500 mE - 377000 mE and 9581500 mN - 9585000 mN. The total area of the study area is approximately 14 km2. This study aims to look at general geological conditions including stratigraphic and geological structures, as well as slope stability analysis in the slope model, namely XS-13. In geological aspects, the research area has several stratigraphic units, the oldest unit is the middle-late miocene Air Benakat claystone, the late miocene – pliocene Muara Enim claye siltstone units and quaternary Volcanic Breccia units as the youngest units. Slope stability modeling is carried out on the XS-13 geometric model which according to geology is included in the Muara Enim formation. The cross section of the XS-13 with a total length of 1868.15 meters and stretches in the southwest - northeast direction. Slope stability modeling purpose to obtain a slope design that recomends for open pit mining. In the XS-13 slope model, there are 15 stratigraphic layers which include 7 coal seams. The single slope modeling carried out for the overall slope recommendation. The results were obtained with a height of 7 meters (ratio 1: 2) for overburden A1, 9 meters high (1:0,5 ratio) for seam A1 ,4 meters high (1: 2 ratio) for A1-A2 interburden, 12 meters high (1:0,5 ratio) for seam A2, 12 meters high (ratio 1:2) for A2-B1 interburden layer, 12 meters high (1:0,5) seam B1 layers, 15 meters high (1:2 ratio) for B1-B2 interburden layer, 4 meter high (1:0,5 ratio) for seam B2 layer, 15 meters high (1:2 ratio) for B2-C interburden layer, 12 meters (1:0,5 ratio) for seam C layer, 10 meters high (1: 2 ratio ) for interburden layers CD, 4 meters high (1:0,5) for seam D layer, 10 meters high (1:2 ratio) for interburden DE layer, 9 meters high (1:0,5 ratio) for seam D layer and 10 meters high (1:2 ratio) for underburden E layer. The modelling of overall slope (overall slope) include the highwall model and low wall model. The modeling results that the recommendations for highwall models, namely code HW-10 with a bench width of 62 meters resulting in FK in saturated conditions of 1,252 and FK of dry 2,500. Meanwhile, low wall modeling was placed on code LW-4 with a bench width of 30 meters and obtained a saturated FK of 1.251 and a dry FK of 2.040
