| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Daerah penelitian terletak di Desa Cikadu dan sekitarnya, Kabupaten Pemalang, Jawa Tengah; berada di dalam bagian tengah dari fisiografi Pegunungan Serayu Utara. Satuan batuan di daerah penelitian tersusun atas Unit Serpih, Batupasir, dan Lava Basalt; terbentuk pada rentang waktu Miosen Tengah – Pliosen Awal. Terdapat struktur geologi berupa sistem sesar mendatar kanan. Morfologi daerah penelitian berupa lembah dan dataran sungai yang dikelilingi oleh perbukitan sesar, korok, dan hogback. Pengukuran penampang startigrafi dilakukan di dua lintasan pengamatan: AS-01 dan AS-06, yang menyingkap bagian atas Formasi Merawu, terletak di Sungai Kalikadu. Hasil pengukuran penampang stratigrafi, analisis litofasies, dan analisis mikropaleontologi pada dua lintasan pengamatan itu menyimpulkan bahwa litofasies yang menyusun Formasi Merawu bagian atas terdiri dari fasies serpih (Fl), fasies batupasir halus laminasi sejajar (Sh), fasies batupasir halus laminasi silangsiur (Sl), fasies batupasir halus laminasi silangsiur gelombang (Sr), fasies batupasir halus HCS (Sr2), fasies batupasir halus amalgamasi (Sm), fasies batupasir halus konvolut (Sh2), fasies batupasir halus slump (Slump), fasies wackestone (Wackestone). Fasies-fasies tersebut terbagi menjadi beberapa asosiasi fasies: asosiasi fasies distal shelf, lower shoreface, lower-middle shoreface, slump scar, dan channel infill; terbentuk pada rentang umur N11-N21, pada kala Miosen Tengah sampai Pliosen yang menggambarkan perubahan lingkungan pengendapan pada batas antara tepi paparan dengan kipas bawah laut. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Research area located in Cikadu and adjacent area, Pemalang, Central Java. The area situated in the North Serayu Basin and the central part of North Serayu Range. Lithostratigraphy in the research area comprises of Shale Unit, Sandstone Unit, and Basalt Lava; all formed in Miocene – Early Pliocene epoch. Tectonic activity during Tertiary period deformed all rock unit in the research area and formed right strike-slip fault system, resulting positive flower structures. Local physiography comprises of fault-controlled and intrusion-controlled hills, denudated fault-related valley, hogback hill, and fluvial plain. A stratigraphic contact between Upper Merawu Formation and Penjatan Formation is exposed in the research area. Measuring section conducted in two different traverses (AS-01 and AS-02) in Kalikadu Creek. Based on the lihofacies, petrography, and micropaleontology analysis in the measured section area, the Upper Merawu Formation consists of shale (Fl), parallel-laminated fine-grained sandstone (Sh), cross-laminated fine sandstone (Sl), wave cross-laminated fine-grained sandstone (Sr), hummocky-cross-stratification fine-grained sandstone (Sr2), amalgamated fine-grained sandstone (Sm), convoluted fine-grained sandstone (Sh2), slump fine-grained sandstone (Slump), and wackestone (Wackestone) facies. All lithofacies grouped as several facies association: distal shelf, lower shoreface, lower-middle shoreface, slump scar, and channel-infill. The environment changes during N11-N21 (Middle Mioecene – Pliocene) interpreted as the shift from the shelf edge to a deepwater submarine-fan. |
