Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Fakultas Ilmu Budaya, Program Studi Bahasa dan Sastra Inggris, Purwokerto. Penelitian yang berjudul “Dissociative Identity Disorder of Oba Yozo in No Longer Human Novel by Osamu Dazai” memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui arti dari kepribadian ganda seseorang dalam novel dan bagaimana penyebab serta hal apa saja yang terjadi sehingga tokoh utama dalam novel yaitu Oba Yozo bisa memiliki kepribadian ganda, yang disebut sebagai Dissociative Identity Disorder. Peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif dalam menganalisa data. Data utamanya adalah No Longer Human Novel karya Osamu Dazai. Peniliti menggunakan pengertian Dissociative Identity Disorder untuk mengetahui penyebab, gejala dan apa saja yang bisa dilakukan oleh penderita DID selain itu, teori psikologi di sastra dan teori Introvert and Extrovert Personality Carl Jung menjadi teori yang mendukung dalam menganilisa tokoh utama. Teori Psikologi pada Karya Sastra digunakan untuk meniliti kondisi psikis tokoh utama sedangkang Introvert dan Extrovert Personlity digunakan untuk mencari tahu bagaimana kedua personaliti bisa terjadi secara bersamaan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa seseorang yang memiliki kepribadian ganda tidak murni dimiliki sejak kecil, tokoh Oba Yozo memiliki kepribadian ganda karena memiliki hal yang buruk yang akhirya membuat dirinya susah untuk mencari jati dirinya dan susah mengontrol kepribadiannya. Terlebih lagi, peneliti menemukan bahwa hal yang dialami Yozo terjadi sejak kecil yang mana bisa membantu pembaca untuk tidak melakukan hal buruk kepada anak kecil yang akan menyebabkan mereka trauma. |

The research entitled "Dissociative Identity Disorder of Oba Yozo in No Longer Human Novel by Osamu Dazai" aims to find out the meaning of a person's multiple personalities in the novel and how the causes and things happen so that the main character in the novel, Oba Yozo, can have a multiple personalities which is known as Dissociative Identity Disorder. The researcher used qualitative methods in analyzing data. The main data is Osamu Dazai's No Longer Human Novel. The researcher used the notion of Dissociative Identity Disorder to find out the causes, symptoms and what DID sufferers can do. Besides that, the psychological theory in literature and Carl Jung's theory of Introvert and Extrovert Personality are supporting theories in analyzing the main character. Psychological Theory in Literature is used to examine the psychic conditions of the main character while Introvert and Extrovert Personality are used to find out how the two personalities can occur simultaneously. The results of this study indicate that a person who has multiple personalities is not purely owned since childhood, the character Oba Yozo has multiple personalities because he had bad things which ultimately make it difficult for him to find his identity. Moreover, the researcher found that what Yozo experienced happened since he was a child which could help readers not to do bad things to the childrens that would cause them trauma. |
