Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Penelitian ini berjudul “Perilaku Konsumtif Tokoh Umaru Doma Dalam Anime Himouto! Umaru-chan Karya Sankaku Head”. Tujuannya adalah untuk mendeskripsikan tanda, makna tanda dan nilai tanda bagi tokoh Umaru. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif serta teori konsumerisme Jean Baudrillard dengan teknik pengumpulan data simak catat dan teknik analisis datanya menggunakan teknik deskriptif analisis. Dari hasil penelitian ini ditemukan 7 perilaku konsumtif yaitu : Membeli komik jump, membeli boneka, bermain game gacha, bermain game medal, membeli variasi jajanan cola, menyewa internet, dan membeli mobil. Berdasarkan hasil analisis terhadap 7 data tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa perilaku konsumtif yang paling banyak dilakukan tokoh Umaru sebagai Otaku adalah “membeli boneka”. Makna yang terdapat pada tanda tersebut adalah Umaru mengoleksi berbagai jenis boneka dan nilai tanda dari perilaku konsumtif “membeli boneka” tokoh Umaru adalah menambah koleksi boneka.
Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)The tittle of this research is “The Consumtive Behavior of Umaru Doma in Himouto! Umaru-chan Anime by Sankaku Head”. The purpose of this research is to describe the sign, meaning of sign and value of sign for the Character Umaru. The method used were descriptive qualitative and Jean Baurillard’s theory of consumerism with the listening-taking note for data collection and the data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis technique. The result of this research have been Characters found 7 behaviors, that are: buying jump comics, buying dolls, playing gacha game, playing medal game, buying variations of cola snacks, renting the internet, and buying car. Based on the result of analysis of the 7 data, it can be concluded that the most consumptive behavior carried out by the Umaru character as an Otaku was “buying a doll”. The meaning on that sign is Umaru collects various types of dolls and the sign value of Umaru’s consumptive behavior “buying a doll” is to collecting a doll to her collection.
