| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini berjudul Stylistic Phenomena of Rhyme in Bebe Rexha’s Album Expectations. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tipe-tipe dari gaya skema rima di dalam album Bebe Rexha berjudul Expectations, dan untuk menemukan efek linguistik di setiap gaya skema rima yang dideskripsikan dalam album Bebe Rexha berjudul Expectations. Peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dalam menganalisis data. Data utama dari penelitian ini adalah keseluruhan lirik yang ditulis oleh Bebe Rexha sebagai penulis lagu dalam albumnya yang berjudul Expectations. Penelitian ini berfokus pada pendekatan stilistika. Selain itu, peneliti menggunakan teori Leech (1969) untuk menganalisis gaya skema rima pada setiap lirik lagu di album Expectations. Peneliti juga menggunakan teori Malyshkina (2018) untuk mengetahui efek linguistik di dalam album Expectations. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 120 lirik yang memuat gaya skema rima. Homoioteleuton merupakan fitur yang dominan karena ia hanya perlu mencari kata lain yang memiliki akhiran yang sama agar liriknya semakin indah untuk didengar. Selain itu, efek Emphasize menjadi efek yang paling banyak ditemukan pada lirik lagu, artinya pencipta lagu ingin mempertegas perasaannya melalui liriknya. Untuk masa yang akan datang, peneliti menyarankan kepada peneliti selanjutnya yang tertarik pada bidang yang sama untuk meneliti dan melakukan lebih dalam tentang album Expectations milik Bebe Rexha. Peneliti selanjutnya dapat menggunakan gaya bahasa lain selain skema rima, seperti gaya bahasa kiasan. Untuk album yang digunakan, peneliti selanjutnya bisa membandingkan album Expectations Bebe Rexha dengan albumnya yang lain. Agar penelitian dapat lebih menarik dengan perbedaan yang ditemukan dan dapat menarik simpulan dari tujuan perbedaan tersebut. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This research entitled Stylistic Phenomena of Rhyme in Bebe Rexha’s Album Expectations. It aims to know the types of rhyme scheme styles in Bebe Rexha’s Album Expectations, and to find out the lingutistic effects in each rhyme scheme style that described in Bebe Rexha’s album Expectations. The researcher used descriptive qualitative method in analyzing the data. The primary data are lyrics which are written by Bebe Rexha as the songwriter in her album Expectations. This research focuses on stylistic approach. In addition, the researcher used Leech’s theory (1969) to analyze the rhyme scheme style in each song lyrics of album Expectations. The researcher also used Malyshkina’s theory (2018) to find out the linguistic effects. The result of this research shows that there are 120 lyrics which contain the rhyme scheme styles. Homoioteleuton was the dominant feature because she only needed to look for other words that have the same ending so that the lyrics will be more beautiful to hear. Furthermore, Emphasize effect becomes the most commonly found in song lyrics. It means that songwriter wants to emphasize her feeling through the lyric. For the future, the researcher suggests the next researchers who are interested in the same field to examine and conduct more deeply about Bebe Rexha’s album Expectations. The next researchers can use other language styles besides the rhyme scheme, such as the figurative language style. For the album used, the next researcher can compare Bebe Rexha’s Expectations album with other her albums. |
