| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Unsur Si diketahui dapat meningkatkan ketahanan tanaman terhadap serangan hama dan infeksi patogen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh berbagai sumber silika dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan ketahanan tanaman padi terhadap R. Solani, mengetahui sumber silika terbaik dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan ketahanan tanaman padi terhadap R. solani. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Perlindungan Tanaman, Laboratorium Tanah, dan Screen House Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Purwokerto dari bulan Januari - Agustus 2020. Percobaan di dalam rumah kaca dilakukan dengan Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan 5 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan, yaitu kontrol (Tanpa sumber silika), abu sekam padi, abu jerami padi, hydrophilic silica (SiO₂), dan pasir silika. Variabel yang diamati yaitu masa inkubasi, intensitas penyakit, laju infeksi, AUDPC, tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah anakan, panjang akar, bobot segar akar, kandungan saponin, kandungan tannin, kandungan fenol total, tebal epidermis, dan kerapatan stomata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian silika dari beberapa bahan dengan dosis 961,8 Kg/ha mampu mendukung perkembangan akar dan daun. Sementara itu, pemberian silika dari beberapa bahan mampu meningkatkan ketahanan tanaman padi terhadap patogen R. solani, meskipun tidak mampu menekan masa inkubasi. Abu jerami padi mampu meningkatkan berbagai macam variabel pertumbuhan seperti jumlah daun, panjang akar, bobot segar akar serta mampu meningkatkan kandungan senyawa fenolik dan ketebalan epidermis daun padi, namun belum mampu menekan patogen R. solani. SiO₂ mampu menekan perkembangan penyakit hawar pelepah, yaitu mampu menekan masa inkubasi hingga 5,5 hari, laju infeksi yang rendah sebesar 0,0418 / hari, dan intensitas penyakit yang tergolong rendah yaitu 9,26%.

The research aims to determine the effect of various sources of silica in increasing growth and resistance of rice plants to R. Solani, knowing the best sources of silica in increasing growth and resistance of rice plants to R. solani. The research was carried out at the Plant Protection Laboratory, Soil Laboratory, and Screen House of the Faculty of Agriculture, Jenderal Soedirman University, Purwokerto from January to August 2020. The experiment in the greenhouse was carried out in a randomized block design with 5 treatments and 6 replications, namely control (without silica source), rice husk ash, rice straw ash, hydrophilic silica (SiO₂), and silica sand. The observed variables were incubation period, disease intensity, infection rate, AUDPC, plant height, number of leaves, number of tillers, root length, root fresh weight, saponin content, tannin content, total phenol content, epidermal thickness, and stomata density. The results showed that giving silica from several ingredients at a dose of 961.8 Kg / was able to support root and leaf development. Meanwhile, giving silica from several materials was able to increase the resistance of rice plants to against the pathogen R. solani, although it was unable to suppress the incubation period. Rice straw ash was able to increase various kinds of growth variables such as number of leaves, root length, root fresh weight and was able to increase the phenolic compound content and thickness of the epidermis of rice leaves, but had not been able to suppress the pathogen R. solani. SiO₂ is able to suppress the development of midrib blight, which is able to reduce the incubation period of up to 5.5 days, a low infection rate of 0.0418 / day, and a relatively low disease intensity of 9.26%.
