| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini membahas masalah kritik sosial dalam novel Pulang. Teori kritik sosial Soekanto yang dibantu dengan teori betuk penyampaian kritik Nurgiyantoro digunakan untuk melihat bentuk kritik sosial yang terdapat dalam novel ini. Teori kritik sosial digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan masalah sosial yang dikritik oleh pengarang, sedangkan bentuk penyampaian digunakan untuk mengetahui cara penyampaian kritik melalui novel. Indonesia memiliki sejarah peristiwa Gerakan 30 September, sehingga membuat Leila S. Chudori memiliki ide menciptakan karakter fiktif yang terlibat dengan peristiwa tersebut. Leila S. Chudori menggambarkan pemerintahan era Orde Baru sebagai pihak yang berkuasa pada saat itu. Terdapat pula tokoh-tokoh yang menentang pemerintahan sehingga menjadi buronan politik, bahkan menjadi pelarian di luar negeri. Penggambaran pengalaman tokoh-tokoh yang menjadi pelarian tersebut diciptakan supaya masyarakat Indonesia tidak lupa dengan sejarah dan dapat lebih kritis terhadap jalannya pemerintahan. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This research addresses to the issues of social criticism in the novel title of Pulang. Social theory criticism by Soekanto aided with Nurgiyantoro critique theory, is use to look the form of social criticism in this novel. Social criticism theory use to describe the social problem who criticized by the author, beside it the form of submission are used to find how criticism is delivered through the novel. Indonesia has a history for this momentum called as Gerakan 30 September, thus making Leila S. Chudori have an idea to creating a fictional character related to the moment. Leila S. Chudori describe the new goverment order era, or Indoensian people know it as Order Baru, as the authority ruling at the time. There are also figures who oppose the government, then becoming the political fugitives or even become the abroad refugees. The depiction of experience by the characters whose become refugees was created so that Indoensian people do not forget the history and be able to critical more to the government course. |
