Rataan nilai laju pembakaran yang diperoleh yaitu P0 = 0,231 gr/menit, P1 = 0,310 gr/menit, P2 = 0,268 gr/menit, P3 = 0,286 gr/menit, sedangkan rataan nilai kerapatan diperoleh yaitu P0 = 0,137 gr/cm3, P1 = 0,136 gr/cm3, P2 = 0,115 gr/cm3, P3 = 0,129 gr/cm3.
Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)This study aims to study the combustion rate and density made from a mixture of feces and sawdust as a constituent of bioarang briquettes as well as to study the briquette constituent mixture that has the highest combustion rate and density. The materials used were 30 kg of cow feces, tapioca flour, and 30 kg of sawdust. The method used was an experimental design with a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replications. The treatments studied were P0 = cow faeces (300gr dry matter) + 2% starch adhesive (starch) P1 = cow feces and sawdust (300gr dry matter) 1: 1 + 2% starch adhesive (starch) P2 = cow feces and sawdust (300gr dry matter) 1: 2 + 2% starch adhesive (starch) P3 = Cow feces and sawdust (300gr dry matter) 2: 1 + 2% starch adhesive material (starch). The average value of the combustion rate obtained was P0 = 0.231 gr / minute, P1 = 0.310 gr / minute, P2 = 0.268 gr / minute, P3 = 0.286 gr / minute, while the average density value obtained was P0 = 0.137 gr / cm3, P1 = 0.136 gr / cm3, P2 = 0.115 gr / cm3, P3 = 0.129 gr / cm3. Results showed that the mixture of briquette constituents had a significant effect on the rate of combustion, but had no significant effect on the density value. Results of the BNJ further test on the value of the combustion rate resulted in the composition of P0 1: 0 to P1 1: 1 had a significant effect, while P1 treatment of P2 and P3 treatments had no significant effect. Conclusion from this research is that the value of the combustion rate added by sawdust has a difference, while the relative density value is the same. The highest combustion rate value obtained by a 1: 1 briquette composition of 0.310 gr / minute, while for the density value obtained a 1: 0 composition of 0.137 gr / cm3.
