Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Latar Belakang: Kejadian obesitas meningkat terutama pada wanita dari tahun ke tahun, dan diduga berhubungan erat dengan terjadinya penyakit degeneratif. Penderita obesitas memiliki risiko kadar LDL lebih tinggi dan lingkar pinggang yang lebih besar. Yogurt susu kacang hijau dilaporkan kaya kandungan antioksidan fenolik, serat, dan protein memiliki efek menguntungkan untuk menurunkan LDL dan lingkar pinggang penderita obesitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perubahan kadar LDL dan lingkar pinggang wanita obesitas yang mendapat yogurt susu kacang hijau.
Metode: Jenis penelitian true experimental dengan rancangan pre-post control group design. Responden di awal penelitian berjumlah 20 wanita obesitas dengan IMT ≥ 27 kg/m2, dan lingkar pinggang >80 cm, menjadi 12 responden diakhir penelitian karena pandemi Covid-19. Kelompok perlakuan (n=5) diberi yogurt susu kacang hijau sebanyak 200 ml/hari dan kelompok kontrol (n=7) mendapat yogurt susu skim (plasebo) 200 ml/hari. Intervensi dilakukan selama 1 bulan. Uji normalitas menggunakan Shapiro Wilk. Perbedaan Analisis statistik menggunakan uji paired sample t-test, independent t-test dan Mann-Whitney test.

Hasil Penelitian: Kadar LDL turun signifikan (29,8%) pada kelompok perlakuan (p= 0,004), dari 128,26 mg/dl menjadi 90,08 mg/dl. Penurunan kadar LDL pada kelompok kontrol 6,3% tidak signifikan (p=0,371). Terdapat perbedaan rerata perubahan LDL dari baseline ke endline yang bermakna (p=0,000) antara kelompok perlakuan dengan kelompok kontrol berdasarkan hasil uji independent t-test. Lingkar pinggang turun tidak signifikan pada kedua kelompok setelah intervensi sebesar 3,33% kelompok perlakuan (p= 0,357), dan 1,75% kelompok kontrol (p=0,364). Tidak terdapat perbedaan rerata perubahan lingkar pinggang (p=0,498) antara kelompok perlakuan dengan kelompok kontrol setelah uji independent t-test.

Kesimpulan: Pemberian yogurt susu kacang hijau 200 ml/hari berpengaruh terhadap penurunan kadar LDL secara bermakna pada wanita obesitas.

Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)Background: Obesity rates are increasing especially in women, and are thought to be closely related to the occurrence of degenerative diseases. Obese people have a risk of higher LDL levels and a greater waist circumference. Mung bean milk yogurt is reported rich in phenolic antioxidants, fiber, and protein to have a beneficial effect on lowering LDL and waist circumference in obese people. This study aims to determine changes in LDL levels and waist circumference of obese women who get mung bean milk yogurt.

Methodology: This study was a true experimental with pre-post control group design which conducted on 20 obese women with BMI ≥ 27 kg / m2, and waist circumference> 80 cm, divided randomly into 2 groups. After a month, the number of subjects became 12 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The treatment group (n = 5) was given 200 ml of mung bean milk yogurt/day and the control group (n = 7) received 200 ml/day skim milk yogurt (placebo). The intervention periods was 4 weeks. Normality test using Shapiro Wilk. Different test before and after intervention used paired sample t-test, the different test between groups used independent t-test and Mann Whitney test.

Results: LDL levels decreased significantly (29.8%) in the treatment group (p = 0.004), from 128.26 mg / dl to 90.08 mg / dl. The decrease (6.3%) not significant in the control group (p = 0.371). There was a significant difference in the mean change in LDL from baseline to end line (p = 0.000) between the treatment group and the control group based on the results of the independent t-test. Waist circumference decreased in both groups after intervention (3.33% treatment group, and 1.75% control group) but not significant in both groups (treatment p = 0.357, control p = 0.364). There was no difference in the mean change in waist circumference (p = 0.924) between the treatment group and the control group after the independent t-test.

Conclusion: Mung bean milk yogurt 200 ml/day affects reducing LDL levels significantly in obese women.
