| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Peserta didik di SMK Negeri 2 Purwokerto mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami isi bacaan teks novel. Masalah tersebut dapat diselesaikan salah satu caranya dengan teori kohesi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis kohesi leksikal dan gramatikal pada novel Sirkus Pohon karya Andrea Hirata serta implementasinya dalam pembelajaran. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Data pada penelitian ini berupa penggalan kalimat dari novel yang berisi wacana dan diduga mengandung jenis-jenis kohesi leksikal dan gramatikal. Sumber data penelitian ini yakni novel Sirkus Pohon karya Andrea Hirata. Penyediaan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode simak dengan teknik lanjutan berupa teknik catat. Data pada penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan metode agih dengan teknik dasar bagi unsur langsung (BUL) dan teknik lanjutan berupa teknik baca markah. Berdasarkan analisis, ditemukan 30 data yang mengandung lima jenis kohesi gramatikal, yakni referensi, konjungsi, substitusi, dan pelesapan. Selanjutnya, 21 data yang mengandung kohesi leksikal, yakni sinonim, antonim, hiponim, meronim, dan kolokasi. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan rujukan untuk penelitian mengenai jenis-jenis kohesi. Selain itu, dapat pula diimplementasikan dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia Kompetensi Dasar 3.9., menganalisis isi dan kebahasaan novel di jenjang SMA/ SMK/ MA. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Students at SMK Negeri 2 Purwokerto have difficulty in understanding the contents of novel text readings. The problem can be solved by the cohesion theory. This study aims to describe the types of lexical and grammatical cohesion in the novel Circus Pohon by Andrea Hirata and their implementation in learning. The form of this research is descriptive qualitative. The data in this study are fragments of sentences from novels that contain discourse and are thought to contain types of lexical and grammatical cohesion. The data source of this research is the novel Sirkus Pohon by Andrea Hirata. the Provision of data in this study uses the reference method with the advanced technology in the form of note-taking techniques. The data in this study were analyzed using the method of distribution with the basic technique for direct elements (BUL) and advanced techniques in the form of reading marking techniques. Based on the analysis, 30 data were found that contained five types of grammatical cohesion, namely reference, conjunction, substitution, and impregnation. Furthermore, 21 data contained lexical cohesion, namely synonyms, antonyms, hyponyms, meronyms, and collocations. Of the two types of cohesion, in the novel more grammatical cohesion is found than lexical. The results of this study can be used as a reference for research on the types of cohesion. In addition, it can also be implemented in learning Indonesian. More specifically, it is used as a learning medium by teachers in schools to facilitate students in achieving Basic Competence 3.9., analyzing the content and linguistics of novels at the SMA/ SMK/ MA level. |
