| Judul Artikel | Konsumsi Bahan Kering Dan Bahan Organik Pakan Kambing Yang Disuplementasi Tepung Bawang Putih (Allium Sativum) Dan Mineral Chromium Organik |
| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengkaji konsumsi bahan kering dan bahan organik yang disuplementasi tepung bawang putih (Allium sativum) dan mineral chromium organik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimental dengan rancangan yaitu Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan susunan perlakuan terdiri dari R0 : Konsentrat 60% + Hijauan 40% (PK 14,36% dan TDN 66,32%)., R1 : Pakan R0 + 250 ppm tepung bawang putih (Allium sativum)., R2 : Pakan R1 + 1,5 ppm mineral chromium organik. dan masing masing di ulang sebanyak 6 kali dan melibatkan 18 ekor kambing peranakan ettawa jantan. Hasil analisis variansi menunjukkan bahwa suplementasi tepung bawang putih dan mineral chormium organik tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap konsumsi bahan kering. Hal ini diduga perbedaan aroma pakan , faktor lain diduga karena kemampunan ternak dalam menampung pakan, kapasitas lambung dan interaksi antar kedua faktor, sebab ternak akan terus mengkonsumsi bahan kering hingga kebutuhan energinya terpenuhi, sehingga meskipun kapasitas rumen belum terpenuhi ternak akan berhenti makan karena energinya sudah terpenuhi, dan sebaliknya. Suplementasi tepung bawang putih dan mineral chromium organik tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap konsumsi bahan organik, hal tersebut diduga karena pemberian suplementasi tidak mempengaruhi aktivitas dalam rumen. Faktor lain diduga karena kandungan abu yang tinggi sebab mengakibatkan aktivitas bakteri selulolitik meningkat dan terjadi penurunan proses fermentasi dan protozoa yang juga diikuti oleh penurunan konsumsi BO. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu suplementasi tepung bawang putih (Allium sativum) dan mineral chromium organik dalam pakan kambing tidak meningkatkan konsumsi bahan kering dan konsumsi bahan organik, namun suplementasi tepung bawang putih saja dengan dosis pemberian 250 ppm cenderung meningkatkan konsumsi bahan kering dan bahan organik. | Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The purpose of this study is to examine the intake of dry matter and organic matter supplemented with garlic flour (Allium sativum) and organic chromium minerals. The research method was experimental with a design using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) and the treatment arrangement consisting of R0: Concentrate 60% + Forage 40% (PK 14.36% and TDN 66.32%)., R1: Feed R0 + 250 ppm garlic flour (Allium sativum)., R2: Feed R1 + 1.5 ppm organic chromium mineral. and each was repeated 6 times and involved 18 male ettawa male goats. The results of the analysis of variance showed that supplementation of garlic flour and organic chormium minerals had no significant effect (P> 0.05) on the consumption of dry matter. This is thought to be the difference in the aroma of feed, other factors are thought to be due to the ability of livestock to collect feed, stomach capacity and the interaction between the two factors, because livestock will continue to consume dry matter until their energy needs are met, so that even though the rumen capacity has not been met, cattle will stop eating because the energy is already fulfilled, and vice versa. Supplementation of organic garlic flour and mineral chromium had no significant effect (P> 0.05) on the consumption of organic matter, it was allegedly because supplementation did not affect rumen activity. Another factor is thought to be due to the high ash content because it causes the activity of cellulolytic bacteria to increase and a decrease in the fermentation process and protozoa which is also followed by a decrease in consumption of organic matter. The conclusion of this research is that supplementation of garlic flour (Allium sativum) and organic chromium minerals in goat feed does not increase consumption of dry matter and consumption of organic matter, but supplementation of garlic flour alone at a dose of 250 ppm tends to increase consumption of dry matter and consumption of organic matter .
