| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Latar Belakang: melakukan shooting free throw yang benar dan masuk bukanlah sesuatu hal yang mudah. Bagi mahasiswa sering sekali dalam melakukan shooting free throw tidak tepat atau tidak masuk ke dalam ring, apalagi dalam melakukan shooting free throw yang benar harus menggunakan Teknik yang tepat yaitu balance, elbow, eyes dan follow trough (BEEF). Semakin baik teknik yang dikuasai maka semakin besar peluang bola masuk ke dalam ring atau sasaran tembak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan shooting free throw mahasiswa Pendidikan Jasmani Kesehatan dan Rekreasi Unsoed tahun 2019. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif, data yang telah terkumpul sebagai mana adanya. Desain penelitian menggunakan. pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah total sampling dengan jumlah 38 mahasiswa. Hasil Penelitian:kemampuan shooting free throw mahasiswa Pendidikan Jasmani Kesehatan dan Rekreasi tahun 2019 termasuk dalam kategori kurang.di dapatkan data untuk laki-laki hanya tiga orang yang memperoleh kategori cukup, empat orang memperoleh kategori kurang dan delapan belas orang memperoleh kategori sangat kurang, sedangkan perempuan nilai tertinggi hanya masuk kategori kurang dengan jumlah dua orang dan sebelas orang memperoleh kategori sangat kurang. Tetapi kemampuan Teknik Balance, Elbow, Eyes dan Follow Through (BEEF) dalam kategori yang baik. Kesimpulan:Kemampuan shooting free throw mahasiswa PJKR Unsoed masih dikategorikan rendah hal ini dikarenakan tidak setiap perkuliahan di ajarkan materi tentang shooting free throw. | Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Background: a good free throw shootig is not an easy done thing. For students, they were often in shooting free throw improper or not into the ring especially in shooting free throw the right way, it should use the right technique instead of balance, elbow, EYES and follow trough (BEEF). The better technique is controlled, the greater chances of the ball into the ring or firing target. The purpose of this research is to know the ability of shooting free throw physical education, health and recreation at 2019. Research method: This research is a quantitative descriptive study, design research uses sampling which is used In this study was a total sampling of 38 students. Research results:the ability of shooting free to throw for Health and Recreation Physical Education students year 2019 is included in the category less. In getting the data for men only three people who gained the category quite, four people gained a category less and the eighteen people gained a category very less, while the women's highest value just entered the category less with the number of two people and eleven people gained the category very less. But the ability of Balance, Elbow, Eyes and Follow Through (BEEF) techniques is in a good category. Conclusion:the ability of shooting free throw PJKR unsoed students is still categorized low because of not every lecture in teaching material is about shooting free throw.
