| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks berita melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) dengan bantuan media video pada siswa kelas VIII A SMP Negeri 5 Purwokerto dengan KKM 70 dan mendeskripsikan perubahan perilaku siswa. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas VIII A SMP Negeri 5 Purwokerto yang berjumlah 32 siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan atas dasar rendahnya menulis teks berita pada siswa kelas VIII A SMP Negeri 5 Purwokerto. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah desain penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) menurut Arikunto terdapat dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penilitian ini adalah teknik tes dan teknik nontes. Teknik tes digunakan untuk mengetahui keterampilan menulis teks berita siswa, sedangkan data nontes digunakan untuk mengetahui perubahan perilaku siswa berupa observasi, angket, wawancara, dan dokumentasi foto. Berdasarkan hasil tes menyatakan bahwa menulis teks berita meningkat pada prasiklus hingga siklus II. Perolehan nilai rata-rata kelas menulis teks berita pada prasiklus yaitu 53, lalu pada siklus I menulis teks berita meningkat yaitu 63,59, selanjutnya pada siklus II menulis teks berita meningkat yaitu 81,03. Hasil nontes menunjukan bahwa perubahan perilaku belajar siswa pada prasiklus hingga siklus II mengalami perubahan ke arah yang lebih baik seperti kesiapan siswa mengikuti pembelajaran, kesungguhan siswa saat mengerjakan tugas, keaktifan siswa saat pembelajaran, tanggung jawab siswa saat mengumpulkan tugas, perhatian dan sikap siswa saat mendapatkan penjelasan, dan siswa lebih antusias saat pembelajaran menulis teks berita. Disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievemement division (STAD) dapat meningkatkan menulis teks berita siswa dan perubahan perilaku siswa selama pembelajaran berlangsung pada prasiklus hingga siklus II mengalami perubahan ke arah yang lebih baik. |

Inggris) | The purpose of this research is to increase a report text writing skills through the cooperative learning with the type Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) and video media for student in Class VIII A of SMP Negeri 5 Purwokerto with the minimum score 70 and describing the changing of student’s behaviour. The research subject is Class VIII A SMP Negeri 5 Purwokerto that contain 32 students. The reason to do this research is the lackness of report text writing skills of the students in Class VIII A SMP Negeri 5 Purwokerto. The design of this research is classroom action research (PTK) by Arikunto which consist of two cycles. Each cycle has some stage which are planning, implementing, observating, and reflecting. Collecting data method is test and non test technique. Test technique is to know writing skills of students, and non test technique is to know behaviour changing in students, those are observation, questionnaire, interview, and photo documentation. Based on the results of the test, there is an increasing of report text writing skills in pre cycle until the cycle II. The average score of class in pre cycle is 53, then increase to 63,59 in the cycle I, and the last score in the cycle II raising 81,03. The non test results indicated a good changing of behaviour learning in students at pre cycle until cycle II, such as a readiness to learn, a seriousness of student in doing the project, being active in the class, a responsibility to collecting assignments, attention and enthusiate to the learning activity of writing the report text in the class. Based on the results of this research it could be concluded that the cooperative learning model in type of Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) is recommended to be used in the class because it can improve the report text writing skill and give the good changes of students’ behaviour during the learning activity in the pre cycle until the cycle II. |
