| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Ikan cupang (Betta splendens) merupakan ikan hias air tawar yang memiliki tingkat popularitas tinggi terutama ikan cupang jantan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik jenis musik dan pengaruh jenis musik yang berbeda terhadap pertumbuhan dan survival rate ikan cupang jantan strain halfmoon. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimental dengan Rancangan Acak Lengakap. Perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu musik Murottal (Q.S. Ar-Rahman), musik Rock (Suicide Silence “You Only Live Once”), dan tanpa musik. Hasil pemeliharaan selama 30 hari dengan intensitas rata rata 96,00 dB re μPa (murottal) dan 96,30 dB re μPa (rock) menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan jenis musik tidak memberikan pengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan mutlak, pertumbuhan berat spesifik, dan survival rate ikan cupang jantan strain halfmoon. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Fighting fish (Betta splendens) is a freshwater ornamental fish are very popularity, especially for male. This study aims to determine the characteristics of the type of music and its influence on the growth and survival rate of halfmoon strain male. An experimental method with a Completely Randomized Design were applied the study. The treatments were Murottal music (Q.S. Ar-Rahman), Rock music (Suicide Silence "You Only Live Once"), and without music, and the fish were reared for 30 days. The different type of music represented different intensities, i.e., an average intensity of 96.00 dB re μPa for murottal and 96.30 dB re μPa for rock. Other result showed that the types of music treatment did not affect absolute and specific weight growth, and survival rate of halfmoon strain male. |
