| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Artikel hasil penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami dan mendeskripsikan pola politik identitas Komunitas Difabel DCTT di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta sekaligus memahami dan menjelaskan signifikansi politik identitas Komunitas Difabel DCTT dalam pencapaian kesetaraan bidang industri jasa transportasi di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif dan pendekatan etnografi dalam bingkai perspektif pascastrukturalis dan paradigma konstruktivisme, hasil penelitian tersebut mengungkapkan bahwa perjuangan Komunitas Difabel DCTT di DIY untuk memperoleh kesetaraan hak merupakan representasi politik identitas kaum difabel untuk diakui keberadaannya sebagai kelompok masyarakat yang ada di DIY dan Indonesia. Representasi tersebut dapat dilihat dari pola politik identitas Komunitas Difabel DCTT di DIY, baik melalui politics of difference maupun politics of recognition. Politics of difference Komunitas Difabel DCTT di DIY dicerminkan melalui cara hidup, nilai-nilai yang diyakini, sistem kerja, dan produk modifikasi kendaraan yang menjadi perbedaan sekaligus menguatkan keberadaannya secara internal. Politics of recognition Komunitas Difabel DCTT di DIY dicerminkan melalui sosialisasi, kegiatan sosial dan kemanusiaan, serta advokasi yang menjadi metode pengenalan identitas dan membentuk cara pandang masyarakat DIY bahwa kaum difabel merupakan manusia yang setara sebagaimana masyarakat pada umumnya. Oleh karena itu, signifikansi politik identitas Komunitas Difabel DCTT dalam pencapaian kesetaraan di bidang industri jasa transportasi di DIY adalah dapat menjadi representasi perjuangan kaum difabel dalam melawan diskriminasi dan penindasan, mendobrak stigma negatif, mengritik pemerintah DIY, dan menjadi sarana bagi mobilitas kaum difabel yang ada di DIY. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This research-based paper aims at understanding and describing a pattern of the identity politics of the DCTT diffable community in DIY as well as understanding and explaining the significance of their identity politics to achieve the equality in the industrial sector of transportation service in DIY. By using a qualitative method and with an ethnography approach in the framework of the poststructuralist perspective and the constructivism paradigm, the result of the research reveals that the struggle of the DCTT diffable community in DIY to achieve the equality of rights is a representation of the identity politics of the diffable people to be recognized as a group of the society in DIY and Indonesia. The representation can be seen from the pattern of the identity politics of the DCTT diffable community in DIY through ‘politics of difference’ as well as ‘politics of recognition’. The politics of difference of the DCTT diffable community in DIY is reflected through their way of life, cultural values, work system, and the product of vehicle modification, which internally make them difference as well as strengthen their existence. The politics of recognition of the DCTT diffable community in DIY is reflected through socialization, social and humanitarian activities, and advocacy, which become the method of identity recognition and shape the worldview of the society to accept the diffable people as equal as the other peoples in the society. Therefore, the significance of the identity politics of the DCTT diffable community in DIY to achieve the equality in the industrial sector of the transportation service in DIY is that it represents the struggle of diffable people to fight discrimination and oppression; to break in their negative stigma, to criticize the local government of DIY, and to be a medium for the mobility of the diffable people in DIY. |
