| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks berita melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair and share dengan media gambar berseri pada siswa kelas VIII B SMP Negeri 6 Purwokerto.Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII B SMP Negeri 6 Purwokerto yang berjumlah 32 siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena rendahnya keterampilan menulis teks berita siswa kelas VIII B SMP Negeri 6 Purwokerto. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa keterampilan menulis teks berita pada siswa kelas VIII B SMP Negeri 6 Purwokerto meningkat setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair and share dengan media gambar berseri. Pada prasiklus nilai rata-rata siswa hanya mencapai 59,7 (sangat kurang), pada siklus I perolehan nilai rata-rata siswa meningkat menjadi 68,8 (kurang), pada siklus II kembali terjadi peningkatan nilai rata-rata siswa secara signifikan yaitu mencapai 85,3 (baik). Selisih peningkatan nilai rata-rata dari prasiklus ke siklus I sebanyak 9,1 dengan persentase kenaikan sebesar 15,3%, kemudian dari siklus I ke siklus II kembali mengalami peningkatan sebanyak 16,5 dengan persentase kenaikan sebesar 24%. Selain itu, perubahan perilaku belajar yang terjadi dari prasiklus hingga siklus II mengalami peningkatan ke arah yang lebih baik, seperti meningkatnya keaktifan siswa dalam pembelajaran, perhatian siswa dapat terpusat, suasana belajar yang lebih kondusif, siswa memperhatikan penjelasan peneliti dengan teliti, serta siswa lebih antusias ketika diberikan tugas menulis teks berita melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair and share dengan media gambar berseri. |

Inggris) | This study aims to improve news text writing skills through cooperative learning models of think pair and share types with serial media in VIII B students of SMP Negeri 6 Purwokerto. The subjects in this study are students of VIII B students at SMP Negeri 6 Purwokerto, amounting to 32 students. This research was conducted due to the lack of news text writing skills of Grade VIII B students of SMP Negeri 6 Purwokerto. The results showed that news text writing skills in grade VIII B students of SMP Negeri 6 Purwokerto increased after using the cooperative learning model of think pair and share types with media of serial images. In the pre-cycle the average value of students only reached 59.7 (very less), in the first cycle the average value of students increased to 68.8 (less), in the second cycle again there was a significant increase in the average value of students, namely achieving 85.3 (good). The difference in the increase in the average value from pre-cycle to cycle I was 9.1 with a percentage increase of 15.3%, then from cycle I to cycle II an increase of 16.5 with a percentage increase of 24%. In addition, changes in learning behavior that occur from pre-cycle to cycle II have increased to a better direction, such as increased student activity in learning, student attention can be centered, a more conducive learning atmosphere, students pay close attention to the explanations of researchers, and students are more enthusiastic when given the task of writing news texts through the cooperative learning model type think pair and share with serial images media. |
