| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh penggunaan biji carica (Carica pubescens) terhadap kecernaan bahan kering dan bahan organik pakan sapi potong secara in vitro. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 5 Agustus-5 September 2019 di Laboratorium Ilmu Nutrisi dan Makanan Ternak, Fakultas Peternakan, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Purwokerto. Materi yang digunakan yaitu cairan rumen dari tiga ekor sapi potong yang diambil dari RPH Bantarwuni, Kecamatan Kembaran, Kabupaten Banyumas segera setelah sapi dipotong. Hijauan yang digunakan yaitu rumput gajah (40%), konsentrat berupa bungkil (20) kelapa dan dedak (40%), dan biji buah carica yang berasal dari Wonosobo dengan taraf pemberian 0;2;4 % dari BK pakan. Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen secara in vitrodenganrancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan. Variabel yang diukur adalah kecernaan bahan kering (KBK) dan kecernaan bahan organik (KBO).Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan Analisis Variansi dilanjutkan dengan uji orthogonal polynomial. Rataan kecernaan bahan kering yaitu P0: 34,57±2,59%, P1: 38,86±3,29%, P2: 41,77±2,81%, sedangkan rataan kecernaan bahan organik sebesar P0 : 36,66±2,21%, P1: 40,94±1,84%, P2: 44,64±0,92%. Penambahan biji carica mampu meningkatkan kecernaan bahan kering dan bahan organik secara linier masing-masing dengan persamaan garis regresi Y = 32,35+0,53X (r² = 0,28) dan Y = 36,76+1,99X (r² = 0,88). Disimpulkan bahwa pemberian biji carica sebagai agen defaunasi sampai taraf 4% BK pakan mampu meningkatkan kecernaan bahan kering dan bahan organik pakan sapi potong secara in vitro. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The purpose of this research is to study the effect of carica seeds (Carica pubescens) on the digestibility of dry matter and organic matter in beef cattle in vitro. The study was conducted on August 5 to September 5 2019 at the Laboratory of Animal Nutrition and Food Sciences, Faculty of Animal Science, Jenderal Soedirman University, Purwokerto. The material used was rumen fluid from three beef cattle taken from the Bantarwuni slaughter house, Kembaran District, Banyumas Regency immediately after the cattle were slaughter. Forages used were elephant grass (40%), concentrates consist of coconut cake (20%) and rice bran (40%), and carica fruit seeds originating from Wonosobo with a level of 0, 2, 4% DM. The study used an in vitro experimental method with a completely randomized design with 3 treatments and 6 replications. The variables measured were digestibility of dry matter and digestibility of organic matter. The data obtained were analyzed using Variance Analysis followed by the polynomial orthogonal test. The average digestibility of dry matter is P0: 34.57 ± 2.59, P1: 38.86 ± 3.29, P2: 41.77 ± 2.81, while the average digestibility of organic matter is P0: 36.66 ± 2.21 , P1: 40.94 ± 1.84, P2: 44.64 ± 0.92. The addition of Carica seeds can improve the digestibility of dry matter and organic matter linearly with the equation regressionY = 32.35 + 0.53 X (r² = 0.28) and Y = 36.76 + 1.99 X (r² = 0.88). It was concluded that the administration of carica seeds as a defaunation agent up level of 4% DM was able to increase the digestibility of dry matter and organic of beef cattle in vitro. |
