| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini berjudul “Pengaruh Islamofobia terhadap Referendum Brexit (British Exit) Tahun 2016”. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana sentimen anti Muslim beserta budaya dan nilai-nilainya berperan dalam mendorong aspirasi masyarakat Inggris untuk keluar dari keanggotaan Uni Eropa melalui sebuah referendum pada tahun 2016. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dan bersifat deskriptif yang dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan data-data kepustakaan baik secara online maupun offline. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sentimen dari beberapa kelompok seperti anti-imigran, anti-Islam dan media. Memiliki peran dalam menyebarkan dan memperkuat benih-benih Islamofobia pada masyarakat Inggris. Dari hasil tersebut dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa Islamofobia merupakan bagian dari penerapan politik identitas yang memiliki pengaruh terhadap keputusan referendum Brexit 2016. | Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The study entitled “Effect of Islamophobia on Brexit Referendum (British Exit) 2016” aims to describe how anti-Muslim sentiments and their culture and values play a role in encouraging the aspirations of the British people to quit EU membership through a referendum in 2016. This type of research is a qualitative and descriptive research by collecting the library data both online and offline way. The results showed that the sentiments of several groups such as anti-immigrants, anti-Islam and the media. Has a role in spreading and strengthening the seeds of Islamophobia in British society. From these results it can be concluded that Islamophobia is part of the application of identity politics that has an influence on the Brexit 2016 referendum decision.
