| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | ABSTRAK Penelitian ini membahas tentang bagaimana upaya European Cental Bank (ECB) sebagai bank sentral milik Uni Eropa berusaha untuk menyelesaikan krisis ekonomi yang terjadi di salah satu negara anggota kawasan Uni Eropa yaitu Irlandia. Krisis ekonomi yang menimpa Irlandia terjadi akibat adanya dampak dari krisis keuangan global tahun 2008 karena kredit macet properti di Amerika Serikat yang menyebabkan Irlandia mengalami kemerosotan ekonomi. Peneliti berfokus pada bagaimana European Central Bank berperan aktif dalam menangani krisis ekonomi yang terjadi di Irlandia. European Central Bank dalam upayanya menyelesaikan krisis ekonomi di Irlandia turut melibatkan lembaga keuangan lain yaitu, IMF, EFSM/EFSF. ECB mendorong Irlandia agar mengajukan permohonan bantuan kepada lembaga-lembaga tersebut untuk terlibat dalam penyelesaian krisis dengan memberikan dana talangan berupa bailout sebesar 85 miliar Euro. Bantuan tersebut berperan secara efektif bagi Irlandia karena dapat mengembalikan sektor perbankan Irlandia dan memulihkan kembali akses pasar. Inggris) | ABSTRACT This study discusses how the efforts of the European Cental Bank (ECB) as a central bank owned by the European Union are trying to resolve the economic crisis that occurred in one of the European Union member countries namely Ireland. The economic crisis that struck Ireland occurred due to the impact of the 2008 global financial crisis due to property credit defaults in the United States which caused Ireland to experience an economic downturn. Researchers focus on how the European Central Bank plays an active role in tackling the economic crisis that occurred in Ireland. European Central Bank in its efforts to resolve the economic crisis in Ireland also involved other financial institutions, namely, the IMF, EFSM / EFSF. The ECB encourages Ireland to submit requests for assistance to these institutions to get involved in resolving the crisis by providing bailouts in the form of 85 billion euros. The assistance has played an effective role for Ireland because it can restore Ireland's burden sector and restore market access.
