| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Sistem kohabitasi adalah sistem pemeliharaan dengan mencampur ikan dalam kurun waktu tertentu. Penyakit dapat ditularkan secara horizontal dengan metode kohabitasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis ektoparasit yang menular ke ikan Guppy dari ikan Nila yang dipelihara secara kohabitasi bersekat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimental di laboratorium. Ikan dipelihara dalam 3 buah kontainer. Kontainer 1 terdiri dari 10 ekor ikan Guppy, kontainer 2 terdiri dari 10 ekor ikan Guppy dan 10 ekor ikan Nila dalam kondisi bersekat, dan kontainer 3 terdiri dari 10 ekor ikan Nila. Ikan dipelihara selama 10 hari dan parasit diamati pada hari ke 11. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis ektoparasit yang menular dari ikan Nila ke ikan Guppy adalah Monogenea dan Ichthyophthirius multifiliis. Kedua jenis parasit tersebut ditemukan menginfeksi permukaan tubuh ikan Guppy. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Cohabitation system is a maintenance system by mixing fish in a certain period of time. Disease can be transmitted horizontally by cohabitation method. The purpose of this study was to determine the types of ectoparasites that were transmitted to Guppy fish from tilapia which were kept by cohabitation. The research method used is experimental in the laboratory. The fish are kept in 3 containers. Container 1 consists of 10 guppy, container 2 consists of 10 guppy and 10 tilapia in cohabitation, and container 3 consists of 10 tilapia fish. The fish were kept for 10 days and parasites were observed on day 11. The results showed that the types of ectoparasites that were transmitted from tilapia to Guppy were Monogenea and Ichthyophthirius multifiliis. Both types of parasites were found to infect the surface of the Guppy fish. |
