| Judul Artikel | PENGARUH MEDIA TANAM DAN VARIETAS TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL BAWANG MERAH (Allium ascalonicum L.) SECARA HIDROPONIK |
| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui macam media yang sesuai terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil bawang merah yang ditanam dengan sistem hidroponik, (2) mengetahui varietas bawang merah terbaik yang ditanam dengan sistem hidroponik, dan (3) mengetahui respon tiga varietas bawang merah terhadap beberapa media tanam pada sistem hidroponik. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan bulan Oktober 2018 sampai dengan Desember 2018 di screen house Pondok Pesantren Darul Quran Al-Karim, Karangtengah, Baturaden. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok lengkap dengan dua faktor yaitu media tanam dan varietas. Faktor pertama terdiri dari 3 macam media tanam, yaitu arang sekam, cocopeat, dan pasir. Faktor kedua terdiri dari 3 varietas bawang merah, yaitu Bima Brebes, Batu Ijo dan Super Philip. Variabel yang diamati meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, berat umbi segar, berat umbi kering, diameter umbi dan jumlah umbi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji F, apabila terdapat keragaman maka dilakukan uji lanjut DMRT taraf kesalahan 5%. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa media tanam dalam sistem hidroponik berpengaruh terhadap variabel jumlah daun, berat umbi segar, berat umbi kering dan diameter umbi. Media tanam paling tepat adalah pasir. Macam varietas berpengaruh terhadap variabel berat umbi segar, berat umbi kering, diameter umbi dan jumlah umbi. Varietas Batu Ijo menunjukan hasil paling baik. Interaksi antara media tanam dan varietas tidak berpengaruh pada semua variabel. |

Inggris) | This research was aimed to (1) find out the most suitable planting medium for the growth and yield of shallots planted in hydroponic systems, (2) find out the most suitable shallot varieties grown in hydroponic systems, and (3) determine the response of three shallot varieties to several growing media on hydroponic systems. This research was conducted in October 2018 to December 2018 at the screen house of the Darul Quran Al-Karim Islamic Boarding School, Karangtengah, Baturaden. This research used randomized complete block design with two factors. The first factor consisted of 3 types of planting media, which were husk charcoal, cocopeat, and sand. The second factor consisted of 3 shallot varieties, i.e. Bima Brebes, Batu Ijo and Super Philip. Variables observed included plant height, number of leaves, fresh bulb weight, dry bulb weight, bulb diameter and number of bulb. The data were analyzed using the F test, if there was diversity then DMRT continued to test with the error rate of 5%. The results of this research indicate that the growing media in the hydroponic system affected the number of leaves, fresh bulb weight, dry bulb weight and bulb diameter. The most appropriate planting medium was sand. The varieties influenced the variables of fresh bulb weight, dry bulb weight, bulb diameter and number of bulb. Batu Ijo variety showed the best results. The interaction between planting media and varieties had no effect on all variables. |
