| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mengeleompokkan jenis-jenis ketidaksesuaian dalam susunan kata (word order irregularities) sekaligus unsur etnografi komunikasi yang mempengaruhi perubahan tatanan tersebut yang diproduksi oleh sebuah karakter yang bernama Master Yoda yang terdapat di film animasi Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Data dari penelitian ini diambil dari tuturan yang diproduksi oleh karakter tersebut. Untuk menjawab rumusan masalah, peneliti menerapkan metode deskriptif kualitatif dan teknik purposive sampling. Dari hasil analisis, terdapat 28 tuturan yang diproduksi oleh Master Yoda yang termasuk ke dalam beberapa jenis ketidaksesuaian urutan dalam tatanan kata. Jenis-jenis tersebut seperti subject verb inversion 12 kali (42.9%), complement fronting 9 kali (32.1%) object dan adverbial fronting masing-masing 3 kali (10.7%) dan subject operator inversion satu kali (3.5%). Sementara itu, hanya ada dua unusur etnografi komunikasi yang mempengaruhi perubahan dalam tatanan tuturan karakter tersebut. Unsur-unsur itu merupakan ends dan act sequence. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa masing-masing dari kedua unsur ini menghasilkan tiga perubahan berdasarkan hasil analisis. Dari hasil ini, bisa disimpulkan bahwa perubahan tatanan kata yang terdapat pada tuturan yang dihasilkan terjadi karena tujuan dari percakapan dan isi dari pesan yang disampaikan oleh sang karakter, Master Yoda dalam film ini cenderung berubah ketika ia terlibat dalam sebuah dialog di dalam film ini. Walaupun hanya ada dua tipe ketidaksesuaian dalam susunan kata dalam Bahasa Inggris yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini, objek yang berbeda seperti cerpen, novel, serial TV, atau wawancara dapat membuktikan lebih banyak jenis-jenis ketidaksesuaian susunan kata dalam Bahasa Inggris serta faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya dengan teori yang sama, yaitu etnografi komunikasi. |

Inggris) | This research aims to identify and classify the types of irregularities on word orders and the elements of ethnography of communication which affect the changes on the utterance orders produced by a character named Master Yoda in the Star Wars animated movie: The Clone Wars. The data of this research are the utterances produced by the character. In order to answer the research questions, qualitative method and the technique of purposive sampling are applied. Based on the analaysis, there are 28 utterances produced by Master Yoda that can be analysed and belong to several types of word order irregularities. Those orders consist of subject verb inversion 12 times (42.9%), complement fronting 10 times (35.7%), object fronting 3 times (10.7%), adverbial fronting 2 times (7.15%) and subject operator inversion once (3.5%). On the other hand, there are only two elements of ethnograhy of communication which affect the changes in orders of the character’s utterances. Those elements are ends and act sequence elements. It is found that these two elements have three changes each based on the analysis. From these findings, it can be concluded that the shift observed in the orders of the character’s utterances occur because the outcomes and the messages of the conversation tend to change when the selected character, Master Yoda Master Yoda is involved in the dialogues. Despite the result of this research, broader objects such as short stories, novels, TV shows, or interview can explore more types of irregularities in English word orders and the factors that affect them to hapen with the same theory applied, ethnography of communication |
