| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Mayoritas peternak sapi perah di Kecamatan Pekuncen, Kabupaten Banyumas tergabung dalam kelompok peternak. Kelompok peternak memiliki peran yang penting yaitu menjalankan fungs tugas kelompok sebagai wadah belajar, wadah kerjasama, dan unit produksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan jumlah anggota dan lama terbentuknya kelompok dengan peran kelompok. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan metode survey. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan rank spearmen. Penetapan sampel wilayah ditentukan dengan metode purposive sampling yaitu Kecamatan Pekuncen dengan pertimbangan kecamatan tersebut terdapat banyak kelompok peternak sapi perah. Pengambilan sampel kelompok dilakukan secara random sampling yaitu sebanyak 50%. Pemilihan responden dilakukan secara sensus pada semua anggota kelompok terpilih. Hasil penelitian menunjukan mayoritas jumlah anggota kelompok peternak berjumlah <16 anggota. Mayoritas lama terbentuknya kelompok peternak sapi perah terbentuk <16 tahun. Peran kelompok peternak sapi perah sebagai wadah belajar, wadah kerjasama, dan unit produksi cukup baik. Hubungan jumlah anggota (0,348) dan lama terbentuknya kelompok (0,307) dengan peran kelompok sebagai wadah belajar memiliki korelasi lemah. Hubungan jumlah anggota (0,386) dan lama terbentuknya kelompok (0,291) dengan peran kelompok sebagai wadah kerjasama memiliki korelasi lemah. Hubungan jumlah anggota (0,211) dan peran kelompok sebagai unit produksi memiliki korelasi lemah. Hubungan lama terbentuknya kelompok (0,192) dan peran kelompok sebagai unit produksi memiliki korelasi tidak nyata. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The majority of dairy farmers in Pekuncen, Banyumas are members of farmers group. Farmer groups have an important role, that is, carrying out the functions of group assignments as a learning container, cooperation forum, and production unit. This research aims to analyze the correlation between number of members and the duration of group formation with the role of the dairy farmers group in Pekuncen, Banyumas. The research was conducted by survey method. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive analysis and rank spearmen. The determination of the sample area is determined by the purposive sampling method, which is the Pekuncen with the consideration of the district that there are many of dairy farmers groups. Group sampling is done by random sampling, which is as much as 50%. The selection of respondents was carried out by census of all members of the selected group. The results showed the majority number of members group <16 members. The majority of the duration of group formation formed <16 years. The role of the dairy farmers group as a forum for learning, a forum for cooperation, and a production unit is quite good. The correlation between the number of members (0.348) and the duration of group formation (0.307) with the group's role as a learning container has a weak correlation. The correlation between the number of members (0.386) and the duration of group formation (0.291) with the group's role as a forum for cooperation has a weak correlation. The correlation of the number of members (0,211) and the role of groups as production units has a weak correlation.
