| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Maloklusi merupakan hubungan gigi geligi yang abnormal yang berkaitan dengan malposisi gigi, malrelasi serta fungsi saraf dan otot yang abnormal. Maloklusi dapat menjadi salah satu penghalangan remaja untuk bersosialisasi khususnya remaja usia 15-17 tahun karena pada masa tersebut remaja sangat memperhatikan penampilan mereka dan sudah sangat perhatian terhadap lawan jenis. Maloklusi dapat mempengaruhi kondisi psikologis remaja sehingga dapat mempengaruhi kualitas hidup remaja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat keparahan maloklusi dengan dental aesthetics related quality of life pada remaja usia 15-17 tahun di SMA Negeri 1 Banyumas. Jenis penelitian ini adalah observasi analitik dan rancangan penelitian ini berupa cross sectional study. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri 1 Banyumas. Sampel diambil secara proportional random sampling dengan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 61 responden yang terdiri dari 23 responden laki-laki dan 38 responden perempuan. Cara pengumpulan data menggunakan Dental Aesthtics Index (DAI) untuk mengukur tingkat keparahan maloklusi dan kuesioner Oral Aesthetics Subjective Impact Scale (OASIS) untuk mengukur psikososial responden. Hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan Spearman Correlations. Hasil uji menunjukkan terdapat hubungan antara tingkat keparahan maloklusi dengan dental aesthetics related quality of life pada remaja usia 15-17 tahun dengan nilai p=0,000 (p<0,05). Simpulan penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan antara tingkat keparahan maloklusi dengan dental aesthetics related quality of life pada remaja usia 15-17 tahun di SMA Negeri 1 Banyumas. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Malocclusion is a abnormal relation of teeth structure associated with teeth malposition, malrelation and also abnormal nerve and muscle function. Malocclusion can become a barrier for adolescents to socialize, especially for adolescents aged 15-17 years because at that time, they are very concerned about their appearance and very attentive to the opposite sex. Malocclusion can affect the psychological condition of adolescents so that it can affect their quality of life.The purpose of this research was to determine the relation of malocclusion severity and dental aesthetic related quality of life in adolescent aged 15-17 years old from Senior High School 1 Banyumas. The research type was analytical observation and the design of this research was a cross sectional study. This research was conducted at Senior High School 1 Banyumas. The samples were taken using proportional random sampling with inclusion and exclusion criteria. The research samples were 61 respondents consisting of 23 male and 38 female. The methods of collecting data used were the Dental Aesthesia Index (DAI) to measure the malocclusion severity and the Oral Aesthetics Subjective Impact Scale (OASIS) questionnaire to measure respondents’ psychosocial. The results of the study were analyzed by Spearman Correlations. The results showed that there was a relationship between the malocclusion severity and dental aesthetics related quality of life in adolescents aged 15-17 years with a value of p = 0,000 (p <0.05). In conclusion, there is a relations between malocclusion severity and dental aesthetics related quality of life in adolescents age 15-17 years old in Senior High School 1 Banyumas. |
