| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Indonesia merupakan negara agraris yang memiliki keuntungan geografis sehingga banyak tanaman yang dapat tumbuh, salah satunya adalah tanaman buah melon. Buah melon merupakan buah yang cukup popular dimasyarakat sehingga jumlah konsumsi melon di Indonesia menunjukkan tren yang meningkat namun hal itu tidak diikuti dengan jumlah produksi melon yang menunjukkan kecenderungan menurun. Berdasarkan uraian tersebut penelitian ini berjudul “Efisiensi Penggunaan Faktor-Faktor Produksi Usahatani Melon di Desa Curut Kecamatan Penawangan Kabupaten Grobogan”. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini untuk menganalisis pengaruh luas lahan, bibit, tenaga kerja, pupuk dan pestisida terhadap produksi, menganalisis efisiensi penggunaan faktor-faktor produksi dan menganalisis efisiensi ekonomi usahatani melon di Desa Curut Kecamatan Penawangan Kabupaten Grobogan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh petani melon di Desa Curut Kecamatan Penawangan Kabupaten Grobogan. Penentuan jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Proportionate stratified random sampling sehingga didapatkan 95 responden. Metode penelitian yang dipakai yaitu menggunakan fungsi produksi Cobb-Douglass, Nilai Produk Marginal Faktor Produksi, dan R/C Ratio. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi Cobb-Douglas dengan bantuan SPSS menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Secara simultan variabel luas lahan, tenaga kerja, bibit, pupuk dan pestisida berpengaruh signifikan terhadap produksi melon. Secara parsial hanya variabel tenaga kerja dan bibit yang signifikan, sedangkan variabel luas lahan, pupuk dan pestisida tidak signifikan. (2) Efisiensi penggunaan faktor-faktor produksi usahatani melon yaitu variabel luas lahan dinyatakan belum efisien, sedangkan variabel tenaga kerja, bibit, pupuk dan pestisida dinyatakan tidak efisien. (3) Efisiensi ekonomi usahatani melon di Desa Curut Kecamatan Penawangan Kabupaten Grobogan dinyatakan sudah efisien secara ekonomi. Implikasi dari kesimpulan di atas yaitu petani melon sebaiknya dalam mengelola usahatani agar mengikuti langkah-langkah budidaya melon sesuai prosedur operasional baku yang telah ditetapkan, agar petani dalam mengalokasikan faktor-faktor produksi tepat. Perlunya kegiatan penyuluhan tentang usahatani melon baik dalam menggunakan faktor produksi maupun dampak penggunaan bahan kimia yang terlalu berlebihan agar tidak merusak lingkungan sekitar lahan pertanian sehingga menjaga keberlangsungan usahatani. Petani melon sebaiknya terus meningkatkan usahataninya karena hasil penelitian terbukti masih menguntungkan dan layak untuk diteruskan. Selanjutnya pemerintah dapat turut campur tangan melalui kebijakan yang mendukung seperti penguatan modal dan penyediaan sarana produksi berupa subsidi pupuk, pestisida maupun bibit. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Indonesia is an agricultural country that has geographical advantages so that many plants can grow, one of which is melon. Melon fruit is a fruit that is quite popular in the community so that the amount of melon consumption in Indonesia shows an increasing trend but this is not followed by the number of melon production which shows a declining trend. Based on the description, this research is entitled "Efficiency of the Use of Factors of Melon Farming Production in Curut Village, Penawangan District, Grobogan Regency". The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of land area, seeds, labor, fertilizers and pesticides on production, analyze the efficiency of the use of production factors and analyze the economic efficiency of melon farming in Curut Village, Penawangan District, Grobogan Regency. The population in this study were all melon farmers in Curut Village, Penawangan District, Grobogan Regency. Determination of the number of respondents in this study using Proportionate stratified random sampling so that 95 respondents were obtained. The research method used is using the Cobb-Douglass production function, the Marginal Product Value of the Production Factor, and the R / C Ratio. Based on the results of research and data analysis using Cobb-Douglas regression analysis with the help of SPSS, it shows that: (1) Simultaneously the variable area of land, labor, seeds, fertilizers and pesticides has a significant effect on melon production. Partially, only variable labor and seeds are significant, while the variable area of land, fertilizer and pesticides is not significant. (2) Efficiency in the use of melon farming production factors, namely the land area variable stated as not yet efficient, while the variables of labor, seeds, fertilizers and pesticides are declared inefficient. (3) The economic efficiency of melon farming in Curut Village, Penawangan Subdistrict, Grobogan Regency is stated to be economically efficient. The implication of the conclusion above is that melon farmers should manage their farms in order to follow the steps of melon cultivation according to the predetermined standard operating procedures, so that farmers in allocating the right production factors. The need for extension activities on melon farming both in using production factors and the impact of using chemicals that are too excessive so as not to damage the environment around agricultural land so as to maintain the sustainability of farming. Melon farmers should continue to improve their farming because the results of the research prove to be still profitable and feasible to continue. Furthermore, the government can intervene through supporting policies such as strengthening capital and providing production facilities in the form of subsidies for fertilizers, pesticides and seeds. |
