| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Cagar Alam Bantarbolang merupakan salah satu kawasan hutan yang berbatasan dengan berbagai bentuk penggunaan lahan. Oleh karena itu vegetasi yang terbentuk relatif banyak dipengaruhi oleh penggunaan lahan di sekitarnya yang disebut efek tepi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari efek tepi terhadap keanekaragaman jenis tumbuhan bawah dan mengetahui jenis tumbuhan bawah yang paling dominan di Cagar Alam Bantarbolang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di Cagar Alam Bantarbolang terdapat jenis tumbuhan bawah sebanyak 72 jenis. Efek tepi sangat berpengaruh terhadap keanekaragaman tumbuhan bawah. Pada setiap jarak dari tepi hutan memiliki keragaman vegetasi tumbuhan bawah yang berbeda. Wilayah tepi hutan memiliki jenis tumbuhan bawah yang lebih beragam dibandingkan wilayah bagian dalam hutan. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Bantarbolang Nature Reserve is one of the forest areas bordering various forms of land use. Therefore, the vegetation that is formed is relatively much influenced by surrounding land use called edge effects. This study aims to determine the effect of edge effects on the diversity of understorey species and find out the most dominant types of understorey in the Bantarbolang Nature Reserve. The results showed that in the Bantarbolang Nature Reserve there were 72 species of understorey. Edge effects greatly influence the diversity of understorey. At each distance from the edge of the forest has a different diversity of understorey vegetation. The edge of the forest has a type of understorey that is more diverse than the interior of the forest. |
