| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengkaji pengaruh penambahan tepung daun waru pada konsentrat terhadap konsumsi dan koefisien cerna bahan kering pakan domba lokal. Materi yang digunakan adalah adalah dua belas ekor domba lokal jantan yang berumur dua tahun yang berasal dari Cilacap. Perlakuan yang diuji adalah penambahan tepung daun waru (Hibiscus tilliaceus) dengan dosis 0%; 0,24% dan 0,48% dari bahan kering (BK) konsentrat. Penelitian dilakukan secara eksperimental menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan ulangan empat kali. Konsumsi BK sebesar 4% dari bobot hidup dengan imbangan jerami padi amoniasi (JPA) dan konsentrat 20:80. Variabel yang diukur adalah konsumsi dan koefisien cerna bahan kering. Analisis variansi menunjukkan bahwa penambahan tepung daun waru berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap konsumsi bahan kering, namun tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap koefisien cerna bahan kering. Uji orthogonal polinomial menunjukkan bahwa penambahan tepung daun waru menghasilkan respon kuadratik terhadap konsumsi bahan kering. Konsumsi bahan kering terendah pada dosis 0,20%. Penambahan tepung daun waru ini tidak direkomendasikan untuk memperbaiki kecernaan bahan kering.

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The aim of study was to examine the effect of adding waru (Hibiscus tiliaceus) leaf meal on consumption and digestibility coefficient of dry matter in sheep. Twelve of two year old male local sheeps from Cilacap were used in this research. Treatment tested were added of waru leaf meal dose 0%; 0,24% and 0,48% and each treatments repeated 4 times, this research used experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD). The consumption of dry matter (DM) for each sheep was 4% of the body weight with dry matter ratio of ammoniated rice straw (ARS) and concentrate were 20:80. The variables measured were consumption and digestibility coefficient of dry matter. Analysis of variance showed that the addition of waru leaf meal significantly effect (P<0,05) on the consumption of dry matter, but not significantly effect (P>0,05) on the digestibility coefficient of dry matter. Orthogonal polynomial tests showed that the addition of waru leaf meal showed a quadratic response. The lowest consumption of dry matter at a dose of 0,20%. The addition of waru meal to the concentrate was not recommended to improve the digestibility of dry matter.
