Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Inverter merupakan alat yang digunakan untuk mengubah daya listrik dari bentuk DC (arus searah) ke bentuk AC ( arus bolak – balik). Inverter umumnya dikendalikan dengan teknik modulasi lebar pulsa (Pulse Width Modulation, PWM).Dengan teknik PWM tersebut besar tegangan dan frekuensi keluaran dapat diatur secara serentak.
Overlap time adalah perangkat switching atau pensakelaran yang digunakan untuk topologi inverter agar tidak terjadi hubung singkat (short circuit). Jika tidak, maka tegangan tinggi (L*di/dt) akan muncul dan dapat merusak perangkat pensakelaran. Dalam istilah praktis, salah satu switch atas dan salah satu switch bawah harus selalu dihidupkan (ON) agar selalu memberikan jalan bagi arus agar selalu mengalir.
Selain itu, untuk mencegah atau menghindari keadaan open circuit, waktu tunda atau overlap time ditambahkan pada sisi turun (falling edge) sinyal outgoing switch untuk memastikan bahwa sakelar yang masuk benar-benar telah diaktifkan sebelum outgoing switch dimatikan sehingga dapat terus memberikan suplai arus DC. Pergantian tersebut dapat dilakukan sebelum atau sesudah waktu tunda atau overlap time dan jika tidak ada kompensasi, pelaksanaan waktu tunda / overlap time dalam modulasi CSI akan menyebabkan gelombang terdistorsi dan menurunkan kemampuan untuk beroperasi pada keadaan yang sangat rendah dan mendekati rasio transfer arus DC-to-AC maksimum.
Hasil pengujian menunjukkan topologi inverter arus tiga tingkat dengan teknik overlap time mampu menghasilkan arus beban keluaran tiga level kondisi +I, 0, –I. Ketika inverter diberi filter dan beban maka gelombang keluran telah berbentuk AC dengan frekuensi 50 Hz dan amplitudo mendekati tegangan sumber. Penggunaan overlap time compensation 5% dan indeks modulasi 0,95 dapat menurunkan THD arus dan meningkatkan efisiensi arus pada inverter.

Controlled inverters are widely used in power supply systems as motor controllers, voltage or input current control systems. To produce adjustable output voltages, inverters are generally controlled by pulse width modulation (PWM) techniques. With large PWM techniques the output voltage and frequency can be adjusted simultaneously. The use of current control in this inverter uses current control hysterisis.
Overlap time is a switching or switching device that is used for inverter topology to prevent short circuit. If not, a high voltage (L * di / dt) will appear and can damage the switching device. In practical terms, one of the top switches and one of the lower switches must always be turned on (ON) to always give way to the current.
In addition, to prevent or avoid the state of open circuit, the delay time or overlap time is added to the falling edge of the outgoing switch signal to ensure that the incoming switch is actually activated before the outgoing switch is turned off so that it can continue to supply DC current. However, it depends on the sign on the line-to-line AC voltage that controls the switching process. The change can be done before or after the delay or overlap time and if there is no compensation, the implementation of the delay / overlap time in CSI modulation will cause the wave to be distorted and reduce the ability to operate in very low conditions and close to the DC-to-current transfer ratio Maximum air conditioner
The test results show a three-level inverter topology with overlap time technique capable of producing output load currents of three condition levels +I, 0, -I. When the inverter is given a filter and the load then the kelurahan wave has an AC shape with a frequency of 50 Hz and the amplitude is close to the source voltage. The use of 5% compensation overlap time and modulation index 0.95 can reduce the current THD and increase the efficiency of current in the inverter. So that modulation techniques that are built can improve the output quality of the inverter
