| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini berjudul “Formula Dalam Seri Tokusatsu Karya Toshiki Inoue”. Tujuannya adalah untuk menemukan formula dasar dari Tokusatsu dan mendeskripsikan formula genre dalam setiap seri Tokusatsu karya Toshiki Inoue yaitu Choujin Sentai Jetman, Kamen Rider Agito, Kamen Rider 555 dan Kamen Rider Kiva. Teori yang digunakan adalah formula sastra Cawelti dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data simak catat, dan teknik analisis datanya menggunakan teknik deskriptif analisis. Dari hasil penelitian ini ditemukan formula dasar Tokusatsu yang merupakan hasil pengembangan dari formula adventure, yaitu : adanya misi tertentu yang harus di capai, adanya antagonis yang menghambat tercapainya kemenangan, adanya kemenangan, adanya pemeran pembantu wanita, adanya penggunaan efek khusus, adanya proses perubahan wujud tokoh, penggunaan peralatan dan kendaraan canggih, orang yang memakai kostum, antagonis berupa makhluk asing, jurus andalan, cerita yang berpusat pada kebaikan melawan kejahatan. Selain itu didapatkan juga kesimpulan berdasarkan formula genre yang ditemukan bahwa ciri khas Toshiki Inoue dalam membuat cerita Tokusatsu adalah adanya genre Melodrama dan Romance yang ditonjolkan dalam setiap ceritanya.

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The tittle of this research is “Formula Dalam Seri Tokusatsu Karya Toshiki Inoue”. The purpose of this research is to find the basic formula from Tokusatsu and describe the genre formula in every Tokusatsu series created by Toshiki Inoue which are Choujin Sentai Jetman, Kamen Rider Agito, Kamen Rider 555 and Kamen Rider Kiva. The theory that used are formula theory by Cawelti with descriptive qualitative method while using descriptive analysis as the method for collecting the data. From this research I found the base formula of Tokusatsu that came from the expansion of adventure formula, which include: A specific kind of mission that have to be gain, an antagonistic role that act as the barrier between the main character and the victory itself, there is a victory in the story, a female supporting role, the use of special effects, characters that can transform, the use of high tech gadgets and vehicles, people that wear costumes, alien or monster as the antagonist of the story, special moves, a main story that focusing on good versus bad or fighting evil forces. Furthermore, I can conclude that the formula genre that has been an iconic trademark of Toshiki Inoue in creating a story about Tokusatsu is that the story always use Melodrama and Romance as its strong points or issues.
