Indonesia)Ari Susanto.” Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui rataan bobot potong (BP), bobot karkas (BK) dan rataan panjang karkas (PK) sapi Peranakan Ongole (PO), mempelajari hubungan bobot potong dengan bobot karkas dan panjang karkas sapi PO. Materi penelitian yaitu sapi PO jantan sebanyak 30 ekor umur 2 tahun. Alat yang digunakan yaitu alat ukur metline, timbangan dengan merk Ruddweigh dan CAS. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan dengan metode survey. Variabel yang diukur adalah BP, BK dan PK sapi PO. Sumber data berasal dari hasil penimbangan BP, BK dan pengukuran PK sapi PO. Hasil rataan BP, BK, PK masing-masing 448,5 ± 38,2 kg, 207,2 ± 17,2 kg, dan 176,9 ± 6,51 cm. Hasil analisis variansi sederhana menunjukan hubungan antara BP dengan BK sangat nyata (P<0,01) mengikuti persamaan BK= 6,77 + 0,45 BP dengan nilai korelasi (r =0,99) dan determinasi (r2 =0,98). BP dengan PK berhubungan sangat nyata (P<0,01) dengan mengikuti persamaan BK =103,25 + 0,16 BP dengan nilai korelasi (r=0,96) dan determinasi (r2 =0,93). BK dan PK sapi PO yang dipotong di RPH Bantarwuni Purwokerto dapat diduga menggunakan BP.

Inggris)Ari Susanto. “The aim of the study was to determine the average of slaughter weight (SW), carcass weight (CW) and carcass length (CL) of PO cattle, learn relationship of slaughter weight into the carcass weight and carcass length of PO cattle. The research materials was PO cattle 30 heads 2 years old. The tools used were metline measuring instruments, scales with the brands Ruddweigh and CAS. Research methods carried out by survey methods. The variables measured were SW, CW and of CL PO cattle. The source of the data came from the results of weighing SW, CW and measuring CL of PO cattle. The average SW, CW, CL results were obtained 448.5 ± 38.2 kg, 207.2 ± 17.2 kg, and 176.9 ± 6.51 cm respectively. The results of a simple variance analysis show that the relationship between SW and CW is a highly significan different (P <0.01) following the equation CW = 6.77 + 0.45 SW with a correlation value (r = 0.99) and determination (r2 = 0.98) . SW with CL was a highly significan different (P <0.01) by following the equation CL = 103.25 + 0.16 SW with a correlation value (r = 0.96) and determination (r2= 0.93). CW and CL PO cattle slaughter in slaughterhouse Bantarwuni Purwokerto can be suspected of using SW.
