| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui bobot badan, tinggi hips dan lebar paha serta mempelajari hubungan antara bobot badan dengan tinggi hips dan lebar paha sapi Peranakan Ongole yang dipelihara secara tradisional. Materi yang digunakan yaitu 30 ekor sapi Peranakan Ongole jantan berumur 1-2 tahun yang dipelihara secara tradisonal. Penelitian menggunakan metode survey, pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling. Parameter yang diukur yaitu bobot badan, tinggi hips dan lebar paha sapi Peranakan Ongole yang dipelihara secara tradisional. Hasil penelitian, lebar paha dengan bobot badan berhubungan sangat nyata (P<0,01), mengikuti persamaan Y=_103,77 + 6,92X nilai korelasi (r= 0,97) dan nilai determinasi (r2=_0,94). Tinggi hips dengan bobot badan behubungan tidak nyata (P>0,05). Rataan bobot badan, tinggi hips dan lebar paha sapi Peranakan Ongole jantan secara berurutan 287,4±30,4 kg, 136,0±5,5 cm dan26,5±4,3 cm. Kesimpulan, bahwa lebar paha sapi Peranakan Ongole jantan yang dipelihara secara tradisional dapat digunakan untuk menduga bobot badan. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The aim of this research was to determine body weight, height of hips and width of thigh and to study the relationship between body weight with height of hips and the width of thight in reared. The material used was 30 heads are breed, 1-2 years old, breeds that were traditionally reared. The study used a survey method, with sampling using purposive sampling. Parameters measured were body weight, height of hips and width of thigh. The results of the study showed that the width of thigh with body weight was significantly correlated (P <0.01), following the equation Y= 103.77 + 6.92 X, correlation reached (r= 0.97) and the reached of determination (r2= 0.94). Height of hips correlated body weight did not significant correlate with body weight (P> 0.05). The average body weight, height of hips and width of thighs of male Ongole breeds were 287.4 ± 30.4 kg, 136.0 ± 5.5 cm and 26.5 ± 4.3 cm, respectively. The conclusion is that the width of thigh of the ongole breed can be used to estimate body weight. |
