| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Aterosklerosis merupakan penyebab utama kematian pada individu dengan diabetes melitus (DM). Individu dengan DM memiliki risiko penyakit aterosklerosis 4-5 kali lebih tinggi dibandingkan individu tanpa DM. Hipertensi merupakan kondisi yang berhubungan langsung dengan DM yang menyebabkan penyakit aterosklerosis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran lesi aterosklerosis pada pasien DM tipe 2 obes dengan dan tanpa hipertensi di RSUD. Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo. Penelitian ini merupakan studi deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional pada 18 subjek pasien DM tipe 2 obes. Masing-masing kelompok memiliki 9 subjek yang terbagi menjadi dua kelompok yaitu DM dengan hipertensi dan DM tanpa hipertensi sebagai kelompok kontrol. Sampel yang diambil adalah sampel yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Lesi aterosklerosis pada sampel akan diperiksa dengan mengukur ketebalan tunika intima media arteri karotis (CIMT) dengan menggunakan ultrasonografi. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan nilai rerata lesi aterosklerosis pada kelompok dengan hipertensi 1,177±0,405 mm sedangkan pada kelompok tanpa hipertensi 0,644±0,166 mm. Penelitian ini menunjukan penderita DM tipe 2 obes dengan hipertensi memiliki rerata lesi aterosklerosis lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan penderita DM tipe 2 obes tanpa hipertensi. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Atherosclerosis is the leading cause of death in individuals with diabetes mellitus (DM). Individuals with DM have atherosclerotic disease risk 4-5 times higher than individuals without DM. Hypertension is a condition directly related to DM that causes atherosclerosis. This study aims to determine the atherosclerotic lesions in patients with type 2 DM and obesity with and without hypertension in Margono Soekarjo Hospital. This research was a descriptive study in terms of cross-sectional approach on 18 subjects of patients with type 2 DM and obesity. Each group consisted of 9 subjects divided into two groups namely DM with hypertension and DM without hypertension as a control group. Samples taken are samples who meet inclusion and exclusion criteria. Atherosclerotic lesions in the sample will be examined by measuring the carotid intima media thickness (CIMT) using ultrasound. The result showed that mean value of atherosclerotic lesions in the group with hypertension was 1,177±0.405 mm while in group without hypertension was 0.644±0.166 mm. This study showed patients with type 2 DM and obesity with hypertension had a higher rate of atherosclerotic lesion compared to patients with type 2 DM and obesity without hypertension |
