| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh deskripsi yang komprehensif tentang penggunaan motion graphic dalam kanal YouTube Kok Bisa sebagai penunjang literasi informasi pada siswa SMAN 2 Purwokerto. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori kognitif pembelajaran multimedia oleh Richard E. Mayer. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan purposive sampling sebagai teknik pemilihan informan. Informan dalam penelitian ini terdiri atas dua kategori informan, yakni kreator konten kanal YouTube Kok Bisa dan siswa SMAN 2 Purwokerto sebagai user atau penonton kanal YouTube Kok Bisa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa motion graphic dalam kanal YouTube Kok Bisa menjadi gerbang untuk membuka ketertarikan dan rasa ingin tahu siswa untuk belajar sains. Perannya sebagai penyampai informasi mencakup: (1) Mampu menjelaskan informasi yang sifatnya abstrak, (2) Menghidupkan imajinasi penonton, (3) Membuat penjelasan yang berat menjadi ringan, (4) Membantu penonton dalam mengelola informasi dengan lebih mudah, (5) Memberikan pengalaman hiburan dalam konteks akademik, (6) Menyajikan informasi dengan lebih menarik, sederhana dan logis.Motion graphic juga membuat siswa mampu mengingat kembali informasi yang sudah lampau (information recall). Selain itu, oleh siswa SMAN 2 Purwokerto, YouTube dijadikan sebagai sumber informasi alternatif, karena siswa dapat lebih memahami informasi apabila dijelaskan melalui format audiovisual. Selain untuk mencari informasi seputar mata pelajaran sekolah, siswa juga menggunakan YouTube untuk belajar hal-hal yang tidak diajarkan di sekolah, seperti editing, operating software, fotografi, hingga videografi. Selain informasinya mudah dipahami, siswa juga mendapatkan pengalaman hiburan. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This study aims to obtain a comprehensive description of the use of motion graphics in YouTube channel. How can it be used as an information literacy support for students of Senior High School 2 Purwokerto. The theory used in this study is the cognitive theory of multimedia learning by Richard E. Mayer. In this study, researchers used a qualitative descriptive method with purposive sampling as an informant selection technique. The informants in this study consisted of two categories of informants, namely content creators of Kok Bisa YouTube channel, and students of Senior High School 2 Purwokerto as users or viewers of Kok Bisa YouTube channels. The results of this study show that motion graphics in Kok Bisa YouTube channel can be a gateway to open students' interest and curiosity to learn science. Its role as the deliverer of information includes: (1) Being able to explain an abstract information, (2) Turning on the imagination of the viewers, (3) Make hard explanations to be easy, (4) Helping the audience to manage information more easily, (5) Providing entertainment experiences in an academic context, (6) Presenting information more interesting, simple and logical. Motion graphic also makes students able to recall information that has been past. In addition, by students of Senior High School 2 Purwokerto, YouTube is used as an alternative information source, because students can understand an information better, when explained through an audiovisual formatted. In addition to looking for information about school subjects, students also use YouTube to learn things that are not taught at school, such as editing, operating software, photography, and videography. Student not only get the information that is easy to understand, but also get entertainment experiences. |
