| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini berjudul Analisis Faktor-faktor yang Mempengaruhi Volume Ekspor Tembakau Indonesia ke Amerika Serikat Tahun 1997-2016. Ekspor tembakau merupakan salah satu ekspor komoditas yang mempunyai keuntungan tinggi di pasar internasional, Amerika Serikat (AS) sebagai negara dengan permintaan tertinggi terhadap produk tembaku Indonesia. Namun volume eskpor tembakau ke AS ini cenderung mengalami penurunan. Berdasarkan fenomena tersebut maka dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif, penelitian ini menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi volume ekspor tembakau Indonesia ke Amerika Serikat dengan menggunakan variabel independen harga ekspor tembakau Indonesia, nilai tukar Dolar AS terhadap rupiah, produktivitas tembakau Indonesia dan Gross Domestic Product (GDP) AS. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder berupa time series tahun 1997-2016 yang diterbitkan dari UN Comtrade, Kementerian Perdagangan, Direktorat Jenderal Perkebunan dan World Bank dengan menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh variabel independen terhadap variabel dependen serta menganalisis variabel independen yang paling elastis terhadap volume ekspor tembakau Indonesia ke AS tahun 1997-2016. Dengan menggunakan regresi data time series, hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel harga ekspor tembakau Indonesia berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan, nilai tukar Dolar AS terhadap rupiah berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan, produktivitas berpengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan, dan GDP AS berpengaruh positif dan signifikan. Sementara, terjadi penurunan volume ekspor tembakau Indonesia ke AS pada tahun 1996-2016. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan penurunan volume ekspor tembakau Indonesia ke AS perlu adanya peran serta pemerintah, produsen atau pengusaha eksportir tembakau, serta masyarakat. Peran serta tersebut diantaranya meningkatkan produksi dengan kualitas yang sesuai pasaran internasional, memberikan subsidi bibit unggul terhadap petani tembakau, subsidi teknologi pengolahan tembakau yang efektif dan efisien, penyetabilan nilai tukar Dolar AS terhadap rupiah. Sehingga dengan adanya dukungan dari berbagai pihak tersebut dapat mengurangi masalah penurunan volume ekspor tembakau Indonesia. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This research entitled analysis of the factors affecting the Volume of Indonesia’s Tobacco Exports to the United States at 1997-2016. The export of tobacco is one of export commodity that has high profit in the international market, the United States (US) as the country with the highest demand to Indonesia’s. However, the export volume of tobacco to the US tends to decline. Based on those phenomena by using quantitative methods, this research analyzes the factors that affect the volume of tobacco export of Indonesia to US by using the independent variables they are price export tobacco Indonesia, rupiah exchange rate against the US dollar, Indonesia tobacco productivity and Gross Domestic Product (GDP). This research uses secondary data in the form of time series years 1997-2016 published by UN Comtrade, the Ministry of Commerce, the Directorate General of plantations and the World Bank by using multiple linear regression analysis. The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of independent variables to dependent and analyze the most elastic indepemdent variable to Indonesia’s tobacco export volume to the US at 1997-2016. The result indicates that the variable of Indonesia’s tobacco export price affects negatively and significant, the exchange rate of rupiah US dollar affect negatively and significant, productivity affect negatively and not significant, and influential US GDP positively and significant. Meanwhile, there was a decrease in the volume of tobacco exports of Indonesia to the US at 1996-2016. To handle the decline in the volume of tobacco exports to US, the role Government, producers or exporters entrepreneurs, and community is needed. Improve the production quality based on international markets, provide subsidies of seeds for tobacco farmers, subsidies to tobacco processing technology that is effective and efficient, the stabilize exchange rate of rupiah to the US dollar. So with the support of the various parties can reduce the problem of the declining in the volume of tobacco exports of Indonesia. |
