| Judul Artikel | PERENDAMAN BENIH MENGGUNAKAN METABOLIT SEKUNDER Trichoderma harzianum UNTUK MENEKAN PENYAKIT VIRUS PADA TANAMAN CABAI VARIETAS NAPOLI |
| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Trichoderma harzianum merupakan agensia hayati yang telah banyak digunakan sebagai upaya pengendalian patogen tanaman karena memproduksi metabolit sekunder. T. harzianum mampu mengendalikan berbagai patogen tanaman termasuk virus pada tanaman cabai. Beragam cara dapat dilakukan sebagai metode aplikasi metabolit sekunder T. harzianum, salah satunya melalui perendaman benih. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji potensi metabolit sekunder T. harzianum isolat jahe terhadap penyakit disebabkan virus dan pengaruhnya terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman cabai melalui perendaman benih. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Perlindungan Tanaman dan Lahan percobaan, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari sampai Juni 2018. Penelitian dilaksanakan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) non-faktorial dengan 4 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri atas kontrol (perendaman benih dalam air steril selama 30 menit), perendaman dalam metabolit sekunder T. harzianum isolat jahe selama 30, 60, dan 90 menit. Variabel yang diamati meliputi kejadian penyakit, intensitas penyakit, analisis senyawa fenol (saponin, tanin, dan glikosida) secara kualitatif, tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, dan bobot tanaman segar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan perendaman benih cabai menggunakan metabolit sekunder T. harzianum isolat jahe menurunkan kejadian penyakit sebesar 12,5-25,62% dibandingkan kontrol, menekan intensitas penyakit sebesar 13,49-36,56% dibandingkan dengan kontrol. Perendaman selama 60 dan 90 menit juga mampu memberikan peningkatan senyawa fenol paling tinggi dibanding perlakuan lain. Aplikasi perendaman benih cabai dalam metabolit sekunder T. harzianum isolat jahe mampu meningkatkan tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, dan bobot tanaman segar berturut-turut sebesar 31,23; 59,69, dan 63,22%. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Trichoderma harzianum is a biological agent commonly used as plant pathogen control because of T. harzianum secondary metabolites ability to control various plant pathogen. T. harzianum is able to control various pathogents included viruses in Chilli. Several methods of T. harzianum secondary metabolite application could be done, one of them is seed immersion. This research aims to study potential of T. harzianum ginger isolates secondary metabolite toward viral diseases and its effects on growth Chilli using seed immersion. The research was conducted at the Laboratory of Plant Protection and Experimental Field, Faculty of Agriculture, Jenderal Soedirman University, from January up to June 2018. Randomized Block Design arranged by non-factorial with 4 treatments and 6 replications was used. The treatment consisted of control (seed immersion in sterile water for 30 minutes), immersion in T. harzianum ginger isolates secondary metabolite for 30, 60, and 90 minutes. Variables observed were disease incidence, disease intensity, qualitative analysis of phenol (saponins, tannins, and glycosides) compound qualitatively, crop height, number of leaves, and crop fresh weight. Result of the research showed that the treatments of seed immersion in T. harzianum ginger isolate secondary metabolites could decrease disease incidence and disease intencity respectively in between 12.5-25.62 and 13.49-36.56 % compared to control. Seed immersion for 60 and 90 minutes could increase phenolic compounds compare the other treatments. Seed immersion application in secondary metabolite could increase crop height, number of leaves, and crop fresh weight as 31.23-59.69 and 63.22 % respectively. |
