| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Ekosistem terumbu karang sangat bermanfaat bagi kelangsungan hidup organisme bawah laut salah satunya dari filum echinodermata. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Pulau Bawean, Kabupaten Gresik, Jawa Timur. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kondisi tutupan karang, kelimpahan ecohinodermata dan hubungan kelimpahan echinodermata dengan tutupan karang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode LIT untuk data tutupan karang dan data kelimpahan echinodermata menggunakan metode Benthos Belt Transect. Hasil tutupan karang diidentifikasi sampai level Life form, kemudian untuk echinodermata diidentifikasi sampai level spesies. Kondisi tutupan karang di Pulau Bawean termasuk dalam kategori sedang yaitu sebesar 40,56 %. Kelimpahan echinodermata tertinggi berada di Stasiun II (0,062 indv/m2). Diketahui 5 spesies echinodermata (Linckia laevigata; Achanthaster planci; Diadema setosum; Echinometra mathaei; Ophiocoma erinaceus) memiliki hubungan sangat kuat (r = 0,864-0,997) dengan tutupan karang, spesies Holothuria atra memiliki hubungan yang cukup kuat (r = 0,381) dan Protoreaster nodosus memiliki hubungan yang sangat lemah (r = 0,116) dengan tutupan karang. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Coral reef ecosystems are very beneficial for the survival of undersea organisms, one of them is the echinoderms. This research was conducted in Bawean Island, Gresik Regency, East Java. This study aimed to determine the condition of coral cover, abundance of ecohinoderms and the relationship between abundance of echinoderms with coral cover. This research used LIT method for coral cover data and echinoderm abundance data was collected using Benthos Belt Transect method. The results of coral cover were identified to the Lifeform level, then for echinoderms were identified to the species level. The results showed that the condition of coral cover in Bawean Island is in the moderate category, which is 40.56%. The highest abundance of echinoderms is in Station II (0.062 indv / m2). There were 5 species of echinoderm (Linckia laevigata; Achanthaster planci; Diadema setosum; Echinometra mathaei; Ophiocoma erinaceus) which had a very strong relationship (r = 0.864-0.997) with coral cover, Holothuria atra species had a strong relationship (r = 0.381) and Protoreaster nodosus has a very weak relationship (r = 0.116) with coral cover. |
