| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Hasil pengukuran total minyak di Pulau Leti dan Pulau Moa menunjukkan rata-rata mencapai 0,139 ppm pada perairan, dalam sedimen mencapai 11,990 ppm. Kondisi terumbu karang Indonesia telah banyak mengalami degradasi yang mengkhawatirkan, hal ini ditunjukkan dengan presentase penutupan karangnya yaitu kategori kondisi sangat baik hanya sebesar 6,83%; 25,72% berkondisi baik; 36,87% dalam kondisi sedang, dan 30,58% dalam kondisi rusak. Salah satu bioindikator yang dapat digunakan adalah foraminifera bentik yang didasarkan pada kumpulan spesiesnya di sedimen dasar lingkungan perairan terumbu karang yang kemudian dimasukkan ke dalam suatu perhitungan yang dinamakan FORAM (Foraminifera In Reef Assessment and Monitoring) Index. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui tingkat kelayakan lingkungan terhadap pertumbuhan terumbu karang berdasarkan komposisi foraminifera bentik yang terdapat di Pulau Leti dan Pulau Moa. Metode yang digunakan yaitu, melalui pendekatan kelimpahan foraminifera bentik dengan menghitung FORAM (Foraminifera in Reef Assesment and Monitoring) Index. Hasil yang didapat yaitu foraminifera bentik di perairan Pulau Leti dan Moa yang ditemukan sebanyak 20 genus dan terdiri dari 35 spesies. Kelompok Foraminifera asosiasi “s” terdiri dari 10 spesies. Kelompok foraminifera oportunis terdiri dari 6 spesies. Kelompok foraminifera heterotroph “h” terdiri dari 19 spesies. Kondisi perairan terumbu karang di Pulau Leti dan Moa berdasarkan FORAM Index (FI) nilainya berkisar antara 2,82 – 6,52. Mengindikasikan kondisi lingkungan perairan sangat kondusif untuk pertumbuhan dan pemulihan terumbu karang tepatnya pada stasiun EWIN-1, EWIN-2, EWIN-7, EWIN-11, EWIN-12, dan EWIN-14. Terdapat pula kondisi perairan yang kondusif untuk pertumbuhan terumbu karang tetapi tidak cocok untuk pemulihan terumbu karang pada stasiun EWIN-4, EWIN-6, EWIN-8, EWIN-15.

The condition of Indonesia's coral reefs has experienced a lot of worrying degradation, this is indicated by the percentage of closure of the coral which is a very good condition category of only 6.83%; 25.72% are in good condition; 36.87% in moderate condition, and 30.58% in damaged condition. One of the bioindicators that can be used is benthic foraminifera based on a collection of species in the bottom sediments of coral reef aquatic environment which is then incorporated into a calculation called FORAM (Foraminifera In Reef Assessment and Monitoring) Index. The aim of the study was to determine the level of environmental feasibility of coral reef growth based on the composition of benthic foraminifera found in Leti Island and Moa Island. The method used is, through the approach of abundance of benthic foraminifers by calculating FORAM (Foraminifera in Reef Assessment and Monitoring) Index. The results obtained were benthic foraminifera in the waters of Leti and Moa Islands which were found as many as 20 genera and consisted of 35 species. The Foraminifera group "s" association consists of 10 species. The opportunistic group of foraminifera consists of 6 species. The heterotroph "h" foraminifera group consists of 19 species. The condition of coral reef waters in Leti and Moa Islands based on FORAM Index (FI) values ranged from 2.82 to 6.52. Indicates the condition of the aquatic environment is very conducive to the growth and recovery of coral reefs precisely at the EWIN-1, EWIN-2, EWIN-7, EWIN-11, EWIN-12, and EWIN-14 stations. There are also water conditions conducive to coral reef growth but not suitable for coral reef recovery at EWIN-4, EWIN-6, EWIN-8, EWIN-15 stations. |
