Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Tujuan: Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil GC-MS dan senyawa utama minyak atsiri daun salam daerah Curup dan Baturaden serta efek antifunginya terhadap P.ovale.

Metodologi: Penelitian secara eksperimental meliputi destilasi uap dan air daun salam asal Curup dan Baturaden untuk memperoleh minyak atsiri. Senyawa kimia dalam minyak diidentifikasi menggunakan GC-MS. Aktivitas antifungi minyak menggunakan metode uji difusi cakram.

Hasil penelitian: Rendemen minyak atsiri asal Curup sebesar 0,067%, sedangkan asal Baturaden sebesar 0,12%. Minyak atsiri Curup mengandung 7 senyawa utama, sedangkan asal Baturaden mengandung 4 senyawa utama. Diameter zona hambat uji antifungi minyak atsiri Baturaden sebesar 8,5-11,89 mm, sedangkan asal Curup sebesar 0 mm.

Kesimpulan: Profil GC-MS menunjukkan masing-masing 33 dan 37 senyawa teridentifikasi pada minyak atsiri daun salam asal Curup dan Baturaden. Senyawa utama minyak atsiri asal Curup ada 7, sedangkan asal Baturaden ada 4. Minyak atsiri daun salam Baturaden memiliki aktivitas menghambat pertumbuhan fungi P.ovale dalam kategori resisten.
Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)Goals: The aim of this research is to determine the GC-MS profile and main constituents of bay leaves essential oil originated from Curup and Baturaden, and their antifungal effect against P.ovale.

Methods: This research was experimentally which include steam and water distillation of bay leaves from Curup and Baturaden to obtain essential oil. Chemical compounds in oil were identified using GC-MS. The antifungal activity of essential oil used by disc diffusion test method.

Results: The yield of essential oil from Curup was 0.067%, while from Baturaden was 0.12%. Essential oil from Curup contained 7 major compounds, while from Baturaden contained 4 major compounds. The inhibitory zone diameter of essential oil from Baturaden was 8.5-11.89 mm, while from Curup was 0 mm.

Conclusion: The GC-MS profile showed 33 and 37 chemical constituents were identified in essential oil from Curup and Baturaden. The major compounds of essential oil from Curup were 7 compounds, while from Baturaden were 4 compounds. Bay leaves essential oil of Baturaden has inhibitory fungal activity against P.ovale in resistant category.
