| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Hubungan Bobot Badan Dengan Lebar Dada dan Tinggi Pundak Sapi Sumba Ongole Jantan di Peternakan Bata Farm. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan lebar dada dan tinggi pundak terhadap bobot badan sapi sumba ongole jantan. Materi yang digunakan untuk penelitian adalah sapi Sumba Ongole (SO) jantan sebanyak 30 ekor. Variabel yang diukur adalah lebar dada (LD), tinggi pundak (TP) dan bobot badan (BB). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survei dengan teknik pengambilan sampe secara sensus. Data dianalisis dengan korelasi dan regresi berganda. Hasil analisis variansi menunjukkan bahwa lebar dada dan tinggi pundak mempunyai hubungan yang sangat nyata (P<0,01) dengan bobot badan sapi SO dengan koefisien korelasi (R) = 0,695 dan koefisien determinasi (R2) = 0,484. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, lingkar dada dan panjang badan dapat digunakan untuk menduga bobot badan sapi Sumba Ongole (SO) dengan persamaan regresi Y = -376,661 + 8,848 X1 + 3,037 X2. | Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The Relations of Body Weight with Chest Width and Shoulders Height of Male Sumba Ongole at Bata Farm. The purpose of this research is for knowing the relations of chest widht and shoulders height to the body weight of Sumba Ongole (SO). The material that used for the research is a male of Sumba Ongole (SO) consisting of 30 males. The measured variable is chest width (CW), shoulders height (SH) and body weight (BW). The method that used to this research was survey method using census sampling technique. The data that was obtained were analyzed using the correlation and multiple regression. The result of variance analysis showed that width of chest and height of shoulders had a very close relation with (P< 0,01) SO cow body weight with correlation coefficient (R) = 0.695 and coefficient of determination (R2) = 0.484. Based on this results, chest girth and body length could be predicted body weight of Sumba Ongole (SO) cow with regression equation Y = -376,661 + 8,848 X1 + 3,037 X2.
