Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi patogen antraknosa dan bakteri endofit batang dan daun cabai, dan menguji kemampuan bakteri endofit batang dan daun cabai merah terhadap patogen antraknosa, serta mendapatkan bakteri endofit yang terbaik dalam menghambat patogen antraknosa. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Januari sampai Juni 2018 di Laboratorium Perlindungan Tanaman Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, dengan pengambilan sampel tanaman cabai merah di Desa Karangsalam, Desa Kemutug Lor, Desa Kemutug Kidul, dan Desa Pandak Kecamatan Baturraden, Kabupaten Banyumas. Pengujian antagonis in vitro menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 6 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan, yaitu B0 (perlakuan kontrol), B1 (bakteri endofit 1), B2, B3, B4, dan B5. Variabel pengamatan yaitu makroskopis dan mikroskopis bakteri, makroskopis dan mikroskopis patogen, persentase daya hambat, bobot kering miselium, mekanisme penghambatan, dan uji pertumbuhan bakteri endofit dan patogen di berbagai suhu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa patogen yang ditemukan berupa Colletotrichum gloeosporioides dengan ciri miselium yang menyebar dan berwarna putih keabu-abuan, bakteri endofit yang ditemukan beberapa termasuk kelompok Bacillus sp. dengan ciri gram positif, endospora positif, KOH negatif, katalase positif dan berbentuk batang. Pengujian antagonis bakteri endofit mampu menekan pertumbuhan patogen terbaik, yaitu bakteri endofit 4 isolat Kumutug Kidul sebesar 66,67%. . Mekanisme penghambatan yang terjadi berupa lisis dan distorsi.

Inggris)This research purpose to identify anthracnose and endophytic bacteria of chili’s stems and leaves, and to test the ability of endophytic bacteria chili’s stems and leaves, and to obtain the best endophytic bacteria in inhibiting anthracnose pathogens. This research has been done in January until June 2018 at the Plant Protection Laboratory of Agriculture Faculty, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, by taking sample of chilli at Karangsalam, Kemutug Lor, Kemutug Kidul, and Pandak village, Baturraden Subdistrict, Banyumas Regency. Bacteria exploration was carried out by maceration method, followed by in vitro antagonist test used Completely Randomized Design consists 6 treatments and 5 replications, were B0 (control), B1 (endophytic bacteria 1), B2, B3, B4, and B5. Observed variables were macroscopic and microscopic bacteria, macroscopic and microscopic pathogens, percentage of inhibitory, dry weight of mycelium, inhibition mechanism and growth testing at various temperatures. The results showed that the pathogens were Colletotrichum gloeosporioides with spreads and grayish white mycelium. Endophytic bacterias were including Bacillus sp. characterized by positive gram, positive endospore, negative of KOH, positive of catalase and rod-shaped. Testing of endophytic bacterial antagonists capable of suppressing the growth of the best pathogen is endophytic bacteria 4 Kumutug Kidul’s isolates of 66.67%. The inhibition mechanism were lysis and distortion.
