| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini berjudul “Konflik Sosial dalam novel Laut Bercerita karya Leila S. Chudori”.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan konflik sosial yang terdapat dalam novel Laut Bercerita karya Leila S. Chudori.Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif.Sumber data penelitian ini adalah novel Laut Bercerita karya Leila S. Chudori.Fokus penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan struktur novel dan gambaran konflik sosial dalam novel Laut Bercerita Karya Leila S. Chudori. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah novel Laut Bercerita karya Leila S. Chudori. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik membaca, mencatat, dan mengklasifikasi.Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan cara menganalisis konflik sosial yang terdapat dalam novel Laut Bercerita karya Leila S. Chudori, menganalisis data berdasarkan rumusan masalah dan menyimpulkan hasil analisis. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan mengenai struktur novel,seperti alur yang campuran,penokohan yang terjadi yaitu tokoh utama Biru Laut seorang mahasiswa aktivis yang ingin mewakili ribuan suara masyarakat yang tidak diberi keadilan. Kemudian latar tempat yang dominan di Yogyakarta. Penggambaran konflik sosial dalam bentuk konflik vertikal yang didalam novel ini menjelaskan konflik antara masyarakat yang tertindas akibat tidak ada keadilan bagi mereka yang tanahnya diambil.Kemudian konflik politik dalam novel ini menjelaskan mengenai rezim Orde Baru yang membuat masyarakat seolah menolak politik yang ada pada masa Orde Baru dan konflik pertentangan kelas-kelas sosial mengenai masyarakat biasa yang sulit mencari keadilan karena mereka tidak memiliki kekuasaan. Adapun beberapa penyebab konflik sosial yang terjadi berdasarkan pebedaan individu mengenai tokoh utama Biru Laut dengan para intelegen.Perbedaan kepentingan, antara masyarakat yang harus tunduk terhadap masa Orde Baru dengan pemerintah yang tak segan memberi sanksi pada mereka yang menolak Orde Baru.Kemudian perubahan sosial yang secara cepat menjelaskan kehidupan masyarakat pada saat itu yang begitu dirasakan saat masa Orde Baru. This research is aimed to describe konflik sosial dalam novel Laut Bercerita karya Leila S. Chudori”. The methodology of the research used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The source of the data in this research novel Laut Bercerita karya Leila S. Chudori.This research focuses on descripting the structure of the novel and the social conflicts that are depicted novel LautBerceritakarya Leila S. Chudori. The technique of data collection used by reading, writing, and classifying the data. The technique of data analysis used in this research is by analysing the social conflicts in novel Laut Bercerita karya Leila S. Chudori, data analysis according to the background problem and concluding the result of the analysis. The results of this study explain the structure of the novel, such as a mixed plot, characterizations that occur are the main character of Biru Laut an activist student who wants to represent thousands of voices of people who are not given justice. Then the setting of the dominant place in Yogyakarta The depiction of social conflict in the form of vertical conflict in this novel explains the conflict between oppressed people due to no justice for those whose land was taken. Then the political conflict in this novel explains about the regime Orde Baru which makes people seem to reject politics that existed in the Orde Baru and the conflict between social classes about ordinary people who were difficult to find justice because they did not have pow. As for some of the causes of social conflict that occur based on individual differences regarding the main character of Biru Laut with the intelligence. Differences in interests, between people who must submit to the Orde Baru period with the government that does not hesitate to impose sanctions on those who reject the Orde Baru.
