| Judul Artikel | UJI APLIKASI METABOLIT SEKUNDER Pseudomonas fluorescens P32 UNTUK MENGENDALIKAN PENYAKIT KARENA VIRUS TULAR-BENIH PADA TANAMAN MENTIMUN |
| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui waktu perendaman metabolit sekunder Pseudomonas fluorescens P32 yang paling sesuai untuk mengendalikan penyakit virus tular-benih dan pengaruhnya terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman mentimun. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Perlindungan Tanaman dan di rumah plastik Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman pada bulan September 2017 sampai Maret 2018. Pengujian in planta menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan 6 ulangan dan 4 perlakuan, meliputi kontrol dan 3 waktu perendaman P. fluorescens P32 (30, 60, dan 90 menit). Variabel yang diamati meliputi masa inkubasi, intensitas penyakit, kejadian penyakit, area under disease progress curve (AUDPC), analisis jaringan tanaman, daya berkecambah, tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah buah, bobot buah, kandungan klorofil dan bobot segar tanaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, aplikasi metabolit sekunder P. fluorescens P32 belum dapat mengendalikan patogen virus tular-benih pada benih mentimun. Aplikasi metabolit sekunder P. fluorescens P32 selama 60 menit meningkatkan kandungan klorofil sebesar 11,05% dibandingkan kontrol, sedangkan aplikasi metabolit sekunder P. fluorescens P32 selama 30 menit meningkatkan bobot segar tanaman sebesar 63,37% dibandingkan kontrol. |

Inggris) | This study aimed to determine the most suitable immersion time in Pseudomonas fluorescens P32 secondary metabolites for controlling seed-borne virus disease and its effect on the growth of cucumber crop. The research was conducted at the Laboratory of Plant Protection and the Screen House, Faculty of Agriculture, Jenderal Soedirman University, Purwokerto from September 2017 to March 2018. Randomized block design was used for in planta test with six replicates and four treatments consisted of control and 3 immersion times in P. fluorescens P32 secondary metabolites (30, 60, and 90 minutes). Variables observed included incubation period, disease intensity, disease incidence, area under disease progress curve (AUDPC), analysis of plant tissues germination percentage, plant height, number of leaves, number of fruit, fruit weight, chlorophyll content, and fresh weight of the crop. Result of the research showed that the secondary metabolite application of P. fluorescens P32 was not able to control the virus in cucumber seeds yet. The immersion time of 60 minutes in P. fluorescens P32 secondary metabolites increased chlorophyll content by 11.05% compared to control, while the immersion time of 30 minutes in P. fluorescens P32 secondary metabolites increased fresh weight of the crop as 63.37% compared to control. |
