| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Mentimun (Cucumis sativus L.) termasuk salah satu jenis sayuran buah yang memiliki banyak manfaat dalam kehidupan masyarakat sehari-hari, diantaranya dapat menurunkan tekanan darah pada penderita hipertensi. Mentimun merupakan komoditas sayuran yang adaptasinya cukup luas sehingga banyak diusahakan oleh petani di dataran rendah sampai dataran tinggi. Berdasarkan data Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), perkembangan luas panen, produksi nasional dan produktivitas nasional mentimun di Indonesia tahun 2012 – 2016 sebagian besar mengalami penurunan. Sehingga diperlukan teknik budidaya yang tepat dalam rangka meningkatkan hasil mentimun nasional. Usaha lain yang dapat dilakukan diantaranya adalah penggunaan benih mentimun hibrida. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui pengaruh beberapa macam komposisi media tanam terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman mentimun hibrida dalam polibag, (2) mengetahui pengaruh pemberian beberapa konsentrasi POC PSBN terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman mentimun hibrida dalam polibag, (3) mengetahui interaksi antara komposisi media tanam dan pemberian beberapa konsentrasi POC PSBN terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman mentimun hibrida dalam polibag. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di screen house Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jenderal Soedirman pada bulan Januari 2018 sampai dengan Maret 2018. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap (RAKL) dengan 2 faktor perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah komposisi media tanam yaitu tanah : kompos : arang sekam (2:1:1), tanah : kompos : arang sekam (1:2:1), tanah : kompos : arang sekam (1:1:2). Faktor kedua adalah konsentrasi POC PSBN yaitu 0, 5, 10, dan 20 cc/L. Variabel pengamatan meliputi panjang tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, kehijauan daun, bobot buah per tanaman, jumlah buah per tanamn, dan bobot buah rata-rata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komposisi media tanam yang direkomendasikan adalah media tanah : kompos : arang sekam (1:2:1) (M2). Komposisi media tanam tersebut berpengaruh terhadap variabel panjang tanaman, jumlah daun, dan bobot buah rata-rata. Konsentrasi POC PSBN yang direkomendasikan adalah 20 cc/L (P3). Konsentrasi POC PSBN tersebut berpengaruh terhadap variabel panjang tanaman, jumlah daun, kehijauan daun, jumlah buah per tanaman, bobot buah per tanaman, dan bobot buah rata-rata. Tidak ada interaksi pada kombinasi perlakuan antara komposisi media tanam dan konsentrasi POC PSBN yang mempengaruhi pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman mentimun dalam polibag, karena pengaruh yang dihasilkan diantara faktor perlakuan tersebut bertindak bebas satu sama lainnya. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) is one type of fruit vegetables which has many benefits in people's daily life, which can lower blood pressure in hypertensive patients. Cucumber is vegetable with wide adaptation, so cultivated by farmers in the lowlands to highlands. Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency, the development of the harvested area, the national production and national productivity of cucumbers in Indonesia in 2012-2016 decreased. So, the proper cultivation techniques in order to improve the results of the national cucumber is needed. Another effort that can be done including the use of hybrid cucumber seeds. This research aims to (1) determine the effect of some plant media compositions on growth and yield of hybrid cucumber plant in polybag, (2) determine the effect of some concentrations of PSBN Liquid Organic Fertilizer on growth and yield of hybrid cucumber plant in polybag, (3) to know the interaction between compositions of planting medium and some concentrations of PSBN Liquid Organic Fertilizer to growth and yield of hybrid cucumber plant in polybag. This research was conducted at screen house of Faculty of Agriculture, University of Soedirman Purwokerto from January 2018 until March 2018. The experiment design used was Competely Randomized Block Design with 2 factors treatment and 3 replications. The first factor was the composition of planting medium, namely soil: compost: husk charcoal (2:1:1), soil: compost: husk charcoal (1:2:1), soil: compost: husk charcoal (1:1:2). The second factor was the concentration of PSBN Liquid Organic Fertilizer 0, 5, 10, and 20 cc/L. Observational variables included plant length, leaf number, leaf area, leaf greenish, fruit weight on plant, number of fruits on plant, and average fruit weight. The results showed that the composition of the recommended planting medium was a medium soil: compost: husk charcoal (1:2:1) (M2). The planting medium compositions affected the length of plant, leaf number, and average fruit weight. PSBN Liquid Organic Fertilizer recommended concentration was 20 cc / L (P3). Concentration of PSBN Liquid Organic Fertilizer influence on the variable length of the plant, leaf number, leaf greenish, the number of fruit on plant, fruit weight on plant, and average fruit weight. There was no interaction in the combination of treatment between planting media compositions and PSBN Liquid Organic Fertilizer concentrations affecting growth and yield of cucumber plants in polybags, since the effect generated among these treatment factors acted independently of each other. |
