Indonesia) | Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi efek potassium dichromate terhadap perkembangan sistem embrio dan larva ikan nilem dan menentukan batas aman potassium dichromate yang memungkinkan perkembangan normal sistem saraf pada O. vittatus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian potassium dicrhomate pada medium pemeliharaan memperlambat waktu kumulatif perkembangan sistem saraf O. vittatus, memperkecil ukuran diameter neural rod dan neural tube, serta menurunkan hatching rate. Konsentrasi potassium dichromate yang aman untuk perkembangan sistem saraf O. vittatus adalah 20 ppm. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The aims of this research were to evaluate the effect of potassium dichromate on the development of O. vittatus nervous system and to determine the safe concentration of potassium dichromate enable normal development of O. vittatus nervous system. The result showed that the presence of potassium dichromate delayd embryonic development as indicated by longer developmental cumulative time of the nervous system, and reduced the diameter of the neural rod and neural tube, and decreased hatching rate. The safe concentration of potassium dichromate enable normal development of O. vittatus nervous system is 20 ppm. |
