| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Vitellogenin merupakan protein yang berperan dalam proses vitellogenesis pada tahapan reproduksi. Vitellogenin merupakan glikoprotein fosfolipid yang berperan dalam produksi protein kuning telur yang penting untuk perkembangan embrio. Biota uji yang digunakan yaitu ikan nilem. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ekspresi vitellogenin pada hipotalamus ikan nilem (Osteochillus hasselti), mengetahui ekspresi vitellogenin pada hati ikan nilem (Osteochillus hasselti) dan mengetahui ekspresi vitellogenin pada gonad ikan nilem (Osteochillus hasselti). Sampel RNA diisolasi dari otak, hati dan gonad ikan nilem, kemudian digunakan dalam amplifikasi RT-PCR lalu hasil amplifikasi dilakukan elektroforesis. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah gen vitellogenin terekspresi pada otak dan hati dari ikan nilem. Nilai ekspresi gen vitellogenin pada otak yaitu 0.0487 dan nilai ekspresi gen vitellogenin pada hati yaitu 0.5954. Dalam penelitian ini gen vitellogenin pada gonad ikan nilem tidak terekspresi. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Vitellogenin is a protein that plays a role in the process of vitellogenesis in the reproductive stage. Vitellogenin is a phospholipid glycoprotein that plays a role in the production of egg yolk proteins that are essential for embryonic development. Testing biota used is nilem fish. The aim of this study was to find out the expression of vitellogenin in the hypothalamus of nilem fish (Osteochillus hasselti), to know the expression of vitellogenin in liver of nilem fish (Osteochillus hasselti) and to know the expression of vitellogenin on gonad of nilem fish (Osteochillus hasselti). The RNA sample was isolated from the brains, liver and gonad of the nilem fish, then used in RT-PCR amplification and then the electrophoresis amplification result was performed. The results of this study were the vitellogenin gene expressed in the brain and liver of the nilem fish. The value of gene expression of vitellogenin in brain is 0.0487 and expression value of vitellogenin gene on liver is 0.5954. In this study the gene of vitellogenin in gonad of nilem fish is not expressed. |
