| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | ABSTRAK Penelitian tentang pemanfaatan sukun untuk pembuatan bioplastik dengan menggunakan sorbitol sebagai plasticizer telah dilakukan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan plasticizer sorbitol terhadap sifat fisik bioplastik dari pati sukun yang dihasilkan dengan mengetahui persentase penurunan berat bioplastik dari pati sukun pada uji biodegradasi. Bioplastik dari pati sukun dibuat dengan penambahan sorbitol sebagai plasticizer dengan 2 variasi konsentrasi yaitu 0% dan 30% dari berat pati untuk memperbaiki sifat fisiknya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa film bioplastik yang dihasilkan memiliki nilai higroskopisitas antara 20-30,43%, kelarutan dalam air antara 19,5-28,6%, dan kelarutan dalam asam antara 32,35-46,88%. Uji biodegradasi dilakukan dengan mengubur film dalam wadah berisi tanah dengan wakru penguburan 10 hari. Persentase penurunan berat film setelah proses biodegradasi antara 37,74-40%. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The research about the utilization of breadfruit for bioplastics using Sorbitol as plasticizer had been done. This research’s purpose was to know the effect of sorbitol plasticizer addition toward the physical properties of bioplastics and to know the percentage of bioplastics weight loss from the breadfruit starch using biodegradation test. Bioplastics was made from breadfruit starch with addition sorbitol as plasticizer with 2 different concentrations 0% and 30% from the weight starch to repair bioplastics physical properties. The results showed that bioplastics films which were produced had hygroscopicity values 20-30.43%, water solubility 19.5-28.6%, and acid solubility 32.35-46.88%. Biodegradation test was done by burying the film in a soil-filled container during 10-day burial time. The percentage of film’s weight loss after degradation process between 37.74-40%. |
