Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui serat kasar (SK) dan protein kasar (PK) tercerna domba jantan yang disuplementasikan urea lepas lambat (urea-onggok) dan bungkil kedelai terproteksi tanin kondensasi daun lamtoro. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 18 Oktober 2017 sampai dengan tanggal 10 Januari 2018. Lokasi penelitian di Experimental Farm dan Laboratorium Ilmu Nutrisi Makanan Ternak, Fakultas Peternakan, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Purwokerto. Materi penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 15 ekor domba lokal jantan umur ±12 bulan (bobot 23-25 kg), pakan kontrol (jerami padi : konsentrat = 30 : 70%), dan suplemen (urea-onggok : bungkil kedelai terproteksi = 54 : 46%). Metode penelitian adalah eksperimen menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan, yaitu R0 : ransum kontrol, R1 : ransum kontrol + 5% BK suplemen, R2 : ransum kontrol + 10% BK suplemen, R3 : ransum kontrol + 15% BK suplemen, dan R4 : ransum kontrol + 20% BK suplemen. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis variansi dan dilanjutkan dengan uji ortogonal polinomial. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perlakuan tidak berpengaruh terhadap serat kasar (SK) tercerna (P>0,05), namun dapat meningkatkan protein kasar (PK) tercerna (P<0,01). Respon PK tercerna membentuk kurva kubik dengan persamaan Y = 66,787 + 7,875 X – 0,696 X2 + 0,21 X3. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah suplementasi kombinasi urea-onggok dan bungkil kedelai terproteksi dalam ransum domba jantan dengan persentase hingga 20% BK suplemen dapat diberikan dalam ransum basal untuk mengoptimalkan protein kasar tercerna domba tanpa mengganggu serat kasar tercerna.

The purpose of this research is to measure the effect of urea cassava waste and Leucaena leucocephala tannin extract protected soybean meal supplementation in ration on crude fiber and crude protein digested of ram and to determine the best supplementation level based on these two variables. This research was held from October 18th, 2017 until January 10th, 2018 at Experimental Farm and Animal Feed and Nutrition Laboratory, Faculty of Animal Science, Jenderal Soedirman University, Purwokerto. The material used in this research were ±12 months old male sheep (23-25 kg) as many as 15 sheep, control ration (rice straw : concentrate = 30 : 70%), supplement (urea cassava waste : protected soybean meal = 54 : 46%), and experimental cage. The method of this research was in vivo experiment with completely randomized design followed by orthogonal polynomial if the treatment had significant effect. Treatments tested in this research was the percentage of supplementation that consist of R0 (control), R1 (control + 5% DM supplement), R2 (control + 10% DM supplement). R3 (control + 15% DM supplement), and R4 (control + 20% DM supplement). The result of ANOVA showed us that supplementation of urea cassava waste and protected soybean meal in male sheep ration had no significant effect (P>0,05) on male sheep crude fiber digested and had very significant effect (P<0,01) on male sheep crude protein digested with cubic shaped curve Y = 66,787 + 7,875 X – 0,696 X2 + 0,21 X3. The conclusion of this research is supplementation of urea cassava waste and protected soybean meal as much as 20% DM in rams basal ration did not affect crude fiber digested and could optimalize crude protein digested.
