| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan Azolla microphylla dalam pakan terhadap indeks telur dan tebal kerabang telur itik Tegal. Materi yang digunakan adalah itik Tegal umur 48 minggu sebanyak 400 ekor. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode eksperimental dan menggunakan rancangan percobaan pola tersarang (Nested Classification). Perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu satu kelompok peternak tanpa penambahan Azolla microphylla (P₁), sedangkan satu kelompok peternak dengan penambahan Azolla microphylla 10%. Peubah diamati adalah indeks telur dan tebal kerabang pada telur itik. Rataan indeks telur hasil penelitian P₁ dan P₂ adalah 77,236 ± 1,638 dan 79,205 ± 1,039. Rataan tebal kerabang P₁ dan P₂ adalah 0,4346 ± 1,638 mm dan 0,4747 ± 0,0182 mm. Hasil analisis variansi menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Azolla microphylla 10 % dalam ransum itik Tegal berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap indeks telur dan tebal kerabang telur. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah penggunaan Azolla microphylla 10% dalam ransum itik Tegal dapat meningkatkan indeks telur dari 77,236 ± 1,638 menjadi 79,205 ± 1,039 dan meningkatkan tebal kerabang telur dari 0,4346 ± 1,638 mm menjadi 0,4747 ± 0,0182 mm.

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The purpose of this research is to investigate the Azolla microphylla in Index and Thickness of Eggshell of Tegal duck. The materials used were 400 Tegal duck aging 48 week. This research was conducted by experimental method and and using a Two-Stage Nested Classification Design. The treatment given is that one group of the breeder without the addition of Azolla microphylla (P₁), while a group of the breeder with the addition of 10 % dried Azolla microphylla (P₂). The observed variables were the index and thickness of the shell in duck eggs. The average values of the index of Tegal duck eggs, respectively, 79,205 ± 1,039 and 79,205 ± 1,039 for P₁ and P₂. The average values of the thickness egg shell of Tegal duck, respectively, 0,43 mm and 0,48 for P₁ and P₂. The results of the analysis showed that the use of 10 % dried Azolla microphylla in the diet of Tegal duck had significant (P<0,01) effects on the indeks and Thickness of Eggshell Tegal duck. The conclusion of this study is the use of 10 % dried Azolla microphylla in Tegal duck ration can increase the egg index from 77,236 ± 1,638 to 79,205 ± 1,039 and increase the eggshell thickness from 0,4346 ± 1,638 mm to 0,4747 ± 0,0182 mm. |
